Have you enabled MIDI param changes on the Max? Press Erase then enter 34.

Re: Shipping Boxes for Keyboards

New wardrobe boxes from U-haul. A large size one worked great when I shipped an Oberheim Four-Voice.

Re: Parts for VINTAGE SYNTHESIZERS.....

Those weren't my last chips just how many I currently had listed in that ebay auction. It's usually best to just email me from my web page - www.synthparts.com

Re: Akai ax60, only 3 of 6 voices playing

Could be that 3 voice failed to tune so it shut them off... If you open the synth you can tell which voice is playing by squeezing the CEM3394 chips as you play notes.

Re: Synths with both keys and step sequencers?

All the synths I listed on the first page have proper step-time seqs. Another option is to get an external sequencer that has step-time entry. I recommend the MC-202 or CSQ-100/600 for CV/Gate and the MSQ-700 for MIDI or DCB...

Re: AKAI AX-73

Actually if active the chorus circuit is always wooshing away no matter if a key is pressed or not. True on the Junos too. Yours may need calibration or replacement chips.

Re: AKAI AX-73

I have an AKAI AX-80. Not the same model, but it must be very similar. It's a bit of a pain to program, but it does have a uniquely cold, barren sound that sets it apart from other analog polyphonics in my opinion. It's the complete opposite of the Juno series, and I love that. Actually the AX-80 h...

Memorymoog Plus
Alesis Andromeda
Poly-800
JX-3P

Re: Why does the Roland Synth Plus series exist?

It's the same case as in the 106. In the HS-60/106S the voice board sits underneath the keyboard. There's plenty of room inside the original allowing for modifications. No, they are not the same case. Believe me, I have both synths right here. See how much taller the HS-60/Juno-106S case is? The vo...

Re: Why does the Roland Synth Plus series exist?

Actually what's an even bigger mystery is the Juno-106S. Exact same thing as the HS-60 (Juno-106 w/speakers)... Yeah, I always thought that was strange too. IIRC the 106S is in a standard 106 case with the ends of the panel cut out to accommodate the speakers. The HS-60 of course is in a different ...
