What synth is this?

Hello, I was watching a live video for Idioteque by Radiohead and I was wondering what was that little white synth being played at 25secs in the video, it's a bit tough for me to see what it is.

The whole point of the USB is to connect it to your DAW and use it to control software

Re: Which bands use hardware synths?

-Awolnation use a Clavia Nord Wave, I've seen them perform "Sail" live with it, on my TV XD -MGMT had some hardware until from what I hear they sold them for software, which sucks cause they had some good stuff in their set-up -I've seen a youtube video of Radiohead performing in their studio they w...

Re: Alesis are making the first ever MIDI Keytar

Please refer to my 'learn to reading comprehension' comment. was that taken out of the article, because I only skimmed through it, on a youtube video that I watched the guy presenting it said that it was the first MIDI Keytar Controller. And yes after reading your comment it makes alot more sense now

Re: Alesis are making the first ever MIDI Keytar

All of you guys are going off about Keytars that have MIDI on them, what I think Alesis meant was that it was the first MIDI Keytar Controller, which I'm pretty sure is wrong

Yeah I know, though I don't understand why Alesis decided to claim that they were the first though meh, oh well still the Vortex has got me wanting it badly

Re: Alesis are making the first ever MIDI Keytar

It actually does have a MIDI out, but yeah, this is nothing new as far as the idea itself. HOWEVER, For the -price- it is something new, as Roland has been ridiculously gouging the prices for their newer keytars for ages. I do agree I remember I wanted one of those new Roland AX ones but they were ...

Re: Alesis are making the first ever MIDI Keytar

Um, MIDI keytars have been around for nearly 3 decades. Personally, I have Korg RK-100, Roland AX-1 and Yamaha KX5. Other popular models are Casio AZ-1, Roland Axis and the Lync controllers made famous by Jan Hammer. It's a MIDI controller, doesn't make sound, it just controls software/hardware The...

Alesis are making the first ever MIDI Keytar

Alesis are creating the Vortex a Keytar MIDI controller with 37 keys on it. I think that it looks great and it is on my wish list of stuff to get :)
