Re: Roland JX-8P key issue

Hi again. I had the same problem with my MKS 30, it was voicechip number 6 that was "burned out", didn't play every 6 note. That was a simpel reparation to do, if it turns out it is the voice chip, then there is a company (can't remember the name, have a link sent to month ago) that produces new voi...

Re: Roland JX-8P key issue

Hi.

Could it be DCO number 6 is not working. it's a common problem on these old machines.
If so, you could get a new one.

Roland MC50 MKII wont start up.

Hey everybody.

My Roland MC50 MK II has suddenly stopped to start up, it just stops with
the text "MC-50" in the display and the disk LED is lightning red.

Does someone have Any idea why? or is it just dead?

Re: Advice - buy of sampler

Thanks.

I think the microsampler from Korg is the best choice for me of the 3.
Will start looking for one at once, it will be the newest gear that I have then.
My setup is state of the art year 1992... .-)

Re: Midi setup with hardware sequencer

I think I will start out with chaining and see how it goes. If (WHEN) I get some more gear I will take it from there.
Thanks for the advices.

Re: Midi setup with hardware sequencer

Actually I just missed a Roland A880, I have a USB midi interface for my computer, but the whole idea was to go "offline" and use the MC-50 as main sequencer. I have been looking at some midi patchbay's on ebay, but I'am really in doubt what to buy, do it need midi merge or is it better to buy one w...

Re: Midi setup with hardware sequencer

Thanks for the answer.

All of my gear has midi thru, but I think I will buy a patchbay, if some good gear comes up it's allways good to be prepared for expansion.. :-)

But I got it cheap and couldt resist buying it (it's as new), want to try it out in my setup as a stand alone sequencer. My question is, do I need a midi patch bay? Or is it the ...
