Re: new VERMONA 14 synthesizer
I know this is an old thread, but did this synth ever make it into production? I've never seen one. Anywhere.

Re: Toraiz SP-16
I think $1,499 is actually the street price. And, yes, it looks like an MPC Touch without being chained to a computer. But with a couple of differences. The MPC will be using version 2.0 of the software, which as I understand it, will basically be a full-on DAW. And since the price is only $799, tha...

Re: have you ever bought the same peice of gear 3 times?
Oh yeah, been there:
Elektron Octatrack (I'm on my third right now), and Elektron Machinedrum (I've owned three, although they weren't the exact same versions; the first two were UWs, I think, but the third, the one I own now, is the non-UW version).

Re: Arturia PolyBrute - Polyphonic Minibrute
I sold my Minibrute. Otherwise I would still like to know what the sysex message does to the brute, if anything. And in truth, it's probably 3-note paraphony , not true polyphony -- not that I want this thread to go down that rabbit hole, as so many others have done! I still have a MB SE, so ...

Re: Trying to find the best sequencer
OK, I understand now. Can the A4 do it? If it does, I don't know how to do it. But that sequencer is so strong, I'd be surprised if it didn't have that function. I'm going to do some research on this.LoboLives wrote:Here this is the best way to explain it

Re: Trying to find the best sequencer
I gotta be honest here, I don't really know what "ratcheting" is. I've heard the term, but that's about it. The A4 can, if you want, play multiple sequences (up to four using just its internal voices) simultaneously, and they can all be different step lengths. Is that what you're talking about?

Have you tried syntaur.com? They seem to have all kinds of hard-to-find vintage parts. I've used them extensively over the years.

Re: Trying to find the best sequencer
The Elektron Analog Four not only has the best sequencer on the planet, but also a terrific synth engine. I know you're saying you don't want to "break the bank," and all that. But trust me, spending $600 on a Moog Mother-32 is not a great investment for a one-oscillator synth. For a couple of hundr...

Re: building first diy vco, advice on soldering kits
If you've never soldered before, do yourself a favor and watch some instructional videos on YouTube. You'll be glad you did. Soldering isn't rocket science, but it also needs to be done correctly if you want your finished product to work correctly. Good luck!

Re: Should I Repair or Sell: Juno 106
You're talking about Dean at 5-Star? He's charging $650? That seems really high to me. Shop around a bit if you're considering doing that.createsynthesis wrote:2. pay for all the voices to be replaced. expensive, about 650 for my local service guy here in mesa. seems like he really knows what hes doing.

Re: Arturia Matrixbrute
This is one of the most uncompromising, audacious synths to hit the market in a long time. Arturia went out of its way to include virtually anything and everything that a synth geek could wish for. I mean, the feature set is almost dizzying, especially at this price point.
