$2,999 street, which is in line with other DSI synths of similar quality like the P-6 and the P-12.

Re: Arturia Matrixbrute
Really? That would be quite a surprise to me. I was thinking $2,999 or thereabouts (maybe $3,500). I mean, look at it, man! it's basically a Moog Voyager on steroids!Alex E wrote:Rumor has it that it'll be $1700-$1800? Or so I've heard...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth
I'm still thinking about financial side of Minilogue (probably because I can't afford one :) ). Korg's profit margin must be very, very low, I wonder, how many units they need to sell just to recoup investment. ... I think a lot of the technology was already there in the Volca Keys and other machin...

Re: On the importance of using "hot" gear
As someone else said, electronic music isn't the only genre that's gear-obsessed. I've played guitar since I was a teenager, and I've always heard the talk about the classic guitars and amps, and I never cared. I bought what I liked that was in my price range and made it work. Oddly enough, I'm more...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth
Starting with the fact that the street price of the Timbre Wolf and the minilogue are the same? Yeah, that's pretty embarrassing for Akai. I had the Timbre Wolf for literally a day and returned it. It's a terrible synth.commodorejohn wrote:I bet the folks behind the Akai Timbre Wolf are feeling a little nervous...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth
Well, I ordered one. Did all the folks that got them from Sweetwater already get midnight phone calls from their sales guy? Sweetwater scared me away with their oh-my-god-it's-already-sold-out hyperbole, so I ordered elsewhere -- and my synth is in transit to me as we speak. Sorry, Sweetwater, but ...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth
No S&H on the LFO is Amazing that Korg manged to get these to dealers before an official release announcement. Much better than waiting over a year for the Karp. Thank you :yahoo: Yep. Mine is on the way already. Apparently, some retailers got a shipment just today. They're out there, folks! :D

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth
I love this blurb on Sweetwater's site: Due to the astounding popularity of this spectacular new analog synth, the first shipment that we received from Korg is already completely sold out. Without a doubt, there will be continued high demand for the minilogue, so please don't hesitate to place your ...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth
There's already a demo up on YouTube. By the way, you should sub to this guy's channel. He demos a lot of cool stuff. Most of his videos are in French. This is the first one I've seen in English. https://youtu.be/LgIdY1JB4FE The instrument seems to be a Volca Keys on some Mark McGwire-strength stero...

Re: Any news on new products for 2016
Isn't $499 what we were paying for Minibrutes when they first dropped? If so, this seems like a great product at an even better price. I'm GAS'ing already!

Re: Arturia Minibrute keybed replacement
Oddly, the keyboard on my SE is 1000% better than the one I had on my original Minibrute. The SE keys are actually weighted and feel pretty substantial. The MB keys were thin and plasticky. You see, I've been wondering abou this. Thank you. So I guess it shouldn't be impossible to get a SE replacem...
