Re: Wastelandscape Demo - Waldorfs, Korg MS-20 mini, Vocoder

Thought I'd share a little demo here of one of my projects. It's still really rough, but it was inspired by one of my favorite synth sounds on the Waldorf Micro Q. There is also some Waldorf MicroWave XTk going on, the Korg MS-20 mini (sequenced by the Doepfer Dark Time) at the beginning, a Vocoder...

Re: anyone using the "hidden waves" EPROM V3.53 on their ESQ

You guys are torturing me; I just sold my ESQ1 (which I bought brand new the day it first came out) just a couple of months ago because I was in a bind financially. One of my biggest regrets. Wish I never sold it.

Thanks! I really appreciate that.

Here is a quick test video I did of the setup today; I'm still learning the Dark Time and it's quirks with the MS-20.

Re: Fogeys Unite

To quote myself from another thread: We live in a great time for synths; with analog reissues, great digital and soft synths available, and the resurgence of Modular synths (my next endeavor) it's just really nice to be a musician during these times! I started in the late 1970s playing (for a day) a...

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

Looks like a nice combo. Any Souncloud tracks using that threesome? That is a really cool set up you have there, and I like the your thoughts about the instruments we have access to. Thanks guys! I recently posted a couple of tests with this setup starting with this: http://soundcloud.com/genshi/si...

Re: Tools and toys

There are so many great choices these days... The Stylophone S2 can be a great synth when paired with the right gear. Here is a quick little video I did with my S2 running through the Waldorf MiniWorks 4-Pole Filter (because the S2 Filters on their own are kind of weak.) http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: Aalto on sale!

I had given up on softsynths and got back into Hardware synths these past couple of years, but I recently heard about Aalto (while researching their Soundplane controller) and heard the demo, saw the sale, and it was a no brainer. A truly beautiful soft synth. Really loving it!

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

Been lurking quite awhile, and recently picked up the MS-20 mini. I hesitated at first since I heard all this talk about noise and poor build quality (wobbly knobs) plus I already had the MiniBrute which I really love, but I went ahead and got the MS-20 mini anyway, and for me, it is really quite fu...

Re: Jp8000 vs blofeld

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and just wanted to put my two cents in... I haven't tried out the Blofeld yet but I hear it is very powerful for the price, and I am a huge fan of Waldorf; I own the Microwave XTk and the Micro Q (and the 4-Pole Filter which I use on my Moog Theremin!) I also own the JP8...
