Re: JX-3P with Skipping Fader

I just found another picture online of the panel board, and sure enough it has the same resistor. It is still odd that it seems to be mislabeled in the schematics. Possibly just swapping out the old IC4 with a socket and new one could clear the problems? If not, then I'll probably hand this one over...

Re: JX-3P with Skipping Fader

I did some more digging and brought out the panel board again. Now I could be completely wrong with this, but just bare with this new theory of mine. In the schematic right next to the SENS slider a 100k resistor is on there but not labeled. https://s24.postimg.org/i9re37ayd/Screen_Shot_2016_12_29_a...

Re: JX-3P with Skipping Fader

My mistake, I meant PIN 16 on IC4 and the SENSE slider (when all the way up) are reading at 4.88VDC. Thanks for the instructions, I finally got the fader to read correctly on the multimeter. While adjusting the SENSE slider it is reading just as it should, even when I read it from the resistor as we...

Re: JX-3P with Skipping Fader

The SENS slider and PIN 14 on IC4 both read at around 4.88VDC. Also, the 100k resistor connected to PIN 14 and the slider isn't labeled in the schematic, but I believe it's R95. Well mine is reading 10k.. Possibly I'm reading the wrong one? I can't seem to get a solid reading on the slider changing ...

Re: JX-3P with Skipping Fader

I went through your instructions and the bender is working just as it should, in fact, the whole synth sounds like it's still calibrated perfectly. I read pin 14 on IC4 on the panel board while adjusting the SENS slider in Group B editing the filter. Is there another ground I can hook up the other e...

Re: JX-3P with Skipping Fader

Thanks for checking man! Indeed, one of the ceramic bits on the leg (left leg in the picture) looks like its cracking a bit, but nothing terrible.

I just checked for shorting adjacent joints, this doesn't appear to be the issue either.

Re: JX-3P with Skipping Fader

Hey Micah,

I mentioned in the original post that I have already tried replacing the fader. I'm feeling fairly confident it's not a dirty fader at this point. Possibly the ceramic capacitor suspiciously soldered underneath the Diode is to blame (see original post.)

Re: Boss Dr-110 Snare Issue

Sorry for the late reply, I ended up finding a couple more specs of battery acid that just happened to land on a trace. So, I patched up them and after leaving it powered on for a while, all of a sudden the issue stopped and the LCD was acting normal again!

JX-3P with Skipping Fader

I should clarify that I replaced the fader twice now on this JX-3P, so this issue does not seem to stem from a dirty fader. Issue : While editing the value of a parameter in either Group A or B, the LEDs skip 9-11, so an audible skip is heard. The LEDs themselves work fine while recalling patches o...

Re: noise problems on my juno60

I am experiencing this same issue. I used to have a the voices quitely and constantly sustained after pressing the keys, but this issue was fixed by reseating and deoxiting the connector pins by a tech. Now however, the Juno 60 always has a constant whining noise out of the outputs and headphones. I...

Re: Boss Dr-110 Snare Issue

I actually have a semi working Dr-55 that I would like to install triggers in. It would be sweet to trigger these units with my Beatstep Pro.

Re: Boss Dr-110 Snare Issue

Thank you so much for the direction.

I busted out my multimeter and sure enough there is some resistance in-between 69 11. The rest of the pairs appear to have zero resistance with the unit off.

Re: Boss Dr-110 Snare Issue

I will verify if I can program rests. Banks C and D from my understanding are not programmable, but they are fine and the snare is not affected in these banks. UPDATE: I opened the unit up again, cleaned dodgey spots with some IPA and verified those traces that were around IC1 and IC2. This didn't f...

Yes it does. A dot is on all 16 steps even if the sequence is cleared.
