Tr-707 no sound from #16

The button works (if I want to use it to setup a drum track for example) but the sound of the instrument assigned to it (I think it's the ride? I'm not in front of the mahine right now) doesn't. No sound comes out when I press the button. . Any idea what the problem might be? And if so, is there an ...

Re: WTB V-trig to S-trig converter. Need someone to build it

also, just to let you know, this isn't needed for the application you're talking about. I own a polysix and tr 808/707/606, using the trigger out, the arp syncs perfectly. You just need a 1/4" to connect them. Really? I'll be picking up a TR-707 this weekend so I'll try it out soon. I keep reading ...

Re: WTB V-trig to S-trig converter. Need someone to build it

Just an FYI: This would be an excellent first DIY project if you have any interest at all. I can't think of any useful circuit that's simpler than that one! Really? I might just give it a go then. I have an old busted MXR guitar pedal at home that I can use as a casing. Thanks, I think I'll give it...

WTB V-trig to S-trig converter. Need someone to build it

Very simple schematic. I'm clueless when it comes to electronics so if someone can build it for me it woul be great. I'm located in Montreal Canada. Here's the schematic http://www.retrosynth.com/docs/trigger/triggermod.gif http://systemj.co.uk/sysjpage2.html these guys have the converter I need (th...

Re: Korg Polysix arp sync 5V

Awesome! Thanks again. I'll try to build the v-trig / s-tring converter myself. unfortunately it seems like System J's aren't available right now. I finally tried the synth at the pad. Amazing sound! I thought it would replace the Poly-800 I've been using for months but as it turns out, they both of...

Re: Korg Polysix arp sync 5V

What is your master clock? For example, in a DAW, you can record a trigger (or use a rim shot or sth other very short) and send that out to the clock in. You still need to convert it to S-trigger though, that TC 1 that Psy Free posted is cheap and will do the job (or, as I said, some other gear can...

Re: The Poly 800 Appreciation Thread

That was awesome.

My p800 isn't in the best of shapes. Reverse keys model but I have to hit it a few times to get it running decent.

Still, great little synth.

My personal favorite factory patches must be # 21, 45, and 61.

Btw, what drum machien are you using on this track? Sounds great

Re: Korg Polysix arp sync 5V

Thank you for the replies. All i want to do is trigger the arp so it does a certain pattern when I hit the note (an example being the bass line for Enjoy the Silence / Depeche Mode) is there an extremely simple arp trigger? Just a device where you can setup that send click sounds to the synth for wh...

Re: Korg Polysix arp sync 5V

Thanks. I don't use midi. But say I have a drum machine, by "sending it to the p6" do you mean I plug the output from the drum machin to the trig in of the poly synth? In that case, how would I get sound from the drum machine (if its plugged into the p6) ? Lastly, I've been reading about a converter...

Korg Polysix arp sync 5V

Would anyone be so kind as to explain what this does? I've been trying to figure it out but there's limited info on the net. From my understanding there are certain sequencers/drum machines that will control the arpeggiator of the polysix? if so, would anyone know of any rhythm machines/sequencers t...

Re: reasonably priced headphones?

Great. Thanks for the info. Forgot to mention, I'm Canadian, and as with everything else, apparently headphones are marked up quote a bit when compared to the US. It seems like if I want something decent I'll have to spend a little more.

reasonably priced headphones?

With so many out there I don't know what to choose. All I'm looking for is comfortable headphones I can use at home which will give me good quality sounds when using my synth/sequencer/drum machine, etc. Nothing to be used for professional use, but something that will sound decent. I'd like to spend...

Re: How to connect an old sequencer to an old synth (MIDI)

Great, thank you.. The 1/4" output from the seq. is a metronome out. Figured it acted as an audio out as well. Not sure what "midi local" is. The JX-3P has a switch that you can switch between using the programmer or midi. Basically an on or off switch, nothing more. As for midi plugs, there's an "i...
