Re: Help me to ID the synth

Looks like a MIDI controller.. back of it looks like it only has a MIDI out and perhaps 1 sustain pedal hooked up to it.

What year was the pic taken?

FYI that was not a mistake, it was outright deliberate.
The cat was jealous of your affection to the synth, so it pissed on it to make you not want to be near it anymore.

Re: Ebay scam risk?

...THE SELLER NOW MUST PAY FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING OUT OF THEIR POCKET if they want the item back! Can you clarify for me? I just bought something, band new, full packaging - but found it defective (probably from the manufacturer). It was offered with free shipping. How is it that I can expect the ...

Re: Ebay scam risk?

Another buyer scam to watch for when you're selling.. It's called "Bid Shielding" It goes like this. Scamming buyer runs two accounts. Your item is bid on 1st by the Winning account. Then the Shielding account bids against the Winning account.. bids a very high price.. The Winning account bids again...

Re: Ebay scam risk?

When I list on ebay I require, Buyer is a US Bidder (I don't want any transactions from outside the USA. Inside USA, both I and buyer are protected by some US laws..) Pays with US Bank funds ONLY (paypal charges more for Foreign Bank Funds and I setup my PP account to block those transactions) Only ...

Re: Yamaha DX100 Programmable Controllers?

You may be right that a dx100 behaves differently. The sustain levels for the OP EG's on my TX7 can be adjusted on the fly, but you must adjust it before the EG reaches it's peak level. You cannot change it once it has completed it's Rate to the peak, I noticed. She can be fickle. Yea, the freq's fo...

Re: Yamaha DX100 Programmable Controllers?

I may stand corrected for the main OP levels, but all the other parameters you claimed could not be adjusted while a note is active can be changed on the fly. I may try again with a different voice.. I rushed myself making that vid. Jabberwalky, if you need help creating a GUI to map real MIDI contr...

Re: Yamaha DX100 Programmable Controllers?

Realtime control of envelopes and operator levels? you can hear (and somewhat see) it for yourself.. (the vid can be adjusted to 720p if it opens up at a low res) You can see me adjust the Pitch EG on the fly as the note is playing. At around 0:22 I adjust an OP's Freq. while the note plays. The Pi...

Re: Yamaha DX100 Programmable Controllers?

Can you give us the full context instead of just those two words? Yeah sorry, I would have done that but I was confused on the context myself as the VSE description of the synth in-terms of the programmable controllers were too vague. I didn't think VSE's review was vague at all. It said it has NO ...

Re: Yamaha DX100 Programmable Controllers?

It will only update values after you hit a new key - just like programming it from the front panel straight away. Like every DX.. That's incorrect. I have a TX7 with a custom GUI controller that alters parameters in realtime, such as LFO Depth/rate, LG's, pitch, etc. I'm sure you can make your own ...
