It was reissued.. by Arturia several years ago.
And if you are careful enough.. you might get it for free! (Depending on where you stand regarding your ethics in the warez debate.)

Re: Any Korg EX 800 Users?
He already has a EX800, unmodded. If you are looking to invest $$$ into modding your old Korg, then you'd be wise to spend it on the Hawk800 kit and THEN pay a tech to put that in.. You would have a new synth that is one of only ~120 made (so far, according to reported sales of kits). The mod double...

Re: Synth prices and inflation
While you can use a screwdriver as a hammer, you cannot use a hammer as a screwdriver. I've actually taken a framing hammer, flipped it around to the claw side and used one of the claws to turn a very large standard headed screw... But I can honestly say that I have never in my life driven a nail i...

Sorely missed ''Project''
I was always partial to What I See?
Thanks for the gear list..
I wonder which synth they used to do the flutter effect at the intro.. sounds a lot like a Poly800.

Re: Any Korg EX 800 Users?
The Hawk 800 mod is a blast to make a custom VST plugin so you can do things like this..... https://youtu.be/j_OZyuN95zo Did someone say add some delay? How about delay, flanger, phaser, exciter and a splash of reverb thrown in.. http://soundcloud.com/sythetech/hawk800wobblefx2?utm_source=soundcloud...

Re: Need to find Alps dual audio pot
thanks for the suggestions.. mouser does not have a 50k dual pot that has a tall enough shaft.. it needs to be 30mm, and they only have 20mm shafts in dual 50k. That ebay listing is ended.. and $14 ea. is a bit steep. I think I will get the mouser one and it looks like I could fab up a riser board t...

Need to find Alps dual audio pot
I cant seem to locate a proper replacement pot for the volume control on a roland/boss SP 202. It's just like this pot, http://www.alps.com/WebObjects/catalog.woa/E/image/Potentiometer/InsulatedShaft/RK09K/RK09K_D_1011.GIF http://www.alps.com/WebObjects/catalog.woa/E/HTML/Potentiometer/RotaryPotenti...

8bit9bot = good trader!
8bit9bot shipped me a nice organ bass pedalset that I intend to MIDI'fy... for FREE + shipping cost. Nice item, well packed... he even went ahead and paid an unexpected additional $10 in UPS's "oversized package" fee. I promptly reimbursed him for it when he told me about the extra charges. Real goo...

Re: How would you solve this?
Easy. Just give me your Bahamas tickets and hotel room, that way you can stay home when it arrives.
Seriously, just have it sent to a trusted friend or family member so it's safe and waiting for you when you get home.. trying to get it sent to a temporary location can turn into a nightmare.

Online Jam Session apps??
Anyone know if there is such thing? I wasn't sure where to put this topic, so I just plopped it in here.. mods feel free to move it if I shoulda put it somewhere else.. I'm looking for a way to jam with friends from anywhere around the world with a quick enough ISP to be able to perhaps play their g...

Re: The DIY thread
Isn't this the same as the "show and tell" stickied thread? I just posted a DIY project in there. My custom interfaced MIDI controllers... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnQc-oJ_Ogo I use Mouser for most of my components. EBay on occasion is good for some knobs in bulk. EBay is also good for tools l...

Re: SP-808 - Anyone have a working card reader in theirs?
I've been twiddling with DAW's recently too and found that a very nice controller keyboard with good pads can replace the 808 quite easily. FL Studio is what I've focused on to learn first, it has Slicex to edit phrase samples. It can chop up audio and quickly assign each phrase to a note. Then just...

Re: Tx7 librarian
I don't own a TX7, but from reading the manual I suggest you try this: Press the SHIFT button, then the Dump/Init button. The LCD should say "MIDI Transmit?" Hit YES/+1 button after you are sure you have a MIDI utility like SendSx ready to capture the dump. Save the data captured as a .syx file. Or ...
