Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

http://www.korg.com/services/downloads/pdf/MS20mini_Interview_with_developers.pdf Has reference to possibility of more analog gear and also this: "Another interesting memory was when Gotthold Meyer from our German distributer (MUSIK MEYER Corporation) told us that the MS-20 could also be used as ed...

For those who have passed...

They enter the plejades...
A good friend passed away yesterday, and I recorded this tune last night in his honor.

Re: Anyone know what synth is picutred here?

Ah that makes sense, seeing nothing they do on the synths actually match the music. But it's nice to see their live setup anyway. Even if the knob tweaks don't match the musi. I'm sure it kicked a*s nonetheless. They were unstoppable at this point in their career. Would have loved to have been old ...

Re: Synth grouping

Yes. The "focus not limitations" idea to me is untrue. Not sure what this means exactly; but just to be clear, the distinction between focus and limitations is about intention. A limitation is not intentionally imposed, whereas a focused setup is intentionally imposed. It's a good distinction to ma...

Re: Anyone know what synth is picutred here?

It's a shame the footage and audio are totally out of sync in that concert recording..it's a lovely thing to listen to. The thing that sucks is that the audio is the "Ricochet" live album, not even what was played at this show. The audio from the actual performance was either destroyed or too bad t...

Re: Synth grouping

So now, the gear I have I know inside out, and I am 100% back on track. Are you saying you have that same number and now you've learned them better over time or are you saying you don't have as many as when you felt overwhelmed? Obviously there must have been a tipping point when your purchases out...

Re: Synth grouping

They all work nicely together though and that is what's important I think. having a bunch of stuff that you can work with to get the sound in your head out easily is really nice and of course the happy accidents you get are icing on the cake. I think this is most peoples point right here Yes. The "...

Anyone know what synth is picutred here?

At 2:04 there is a synth sitting to Edgar's right. Ever since seeing this vid I have wondered about what it could be...
Looks like there is a small patchpoint strip below the knobs and above the keys.

Re: Monosynth + no patch memory = ???

I used to make front panel sketches for each of my synths that had no memory. It was quite a fun thing to do as well, time consuming but worth it since the actual act of trying to recreate a patch from memory doesn't work for me very well...

Haha, yeah but when you have had more than 15-20 at any given time it is considered pairing down.
Best decision I have ever made regarding my music and creativity!

I have not used DAW in a while but if your computer is sequencing the BassStation, possibly a stuck MIDI note?

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini

As much as...
