Re: controlling a multitimbral synth with maschine as a vst

Each midi track was assigned its own output channel corresponding to the track number - one of the reasons this problem was driving me nuts. The channels setting were set to receive midi from that instance of maschine and then routed out the hardware midi out on the maschine controller with the appr...

Re: New analog Arturia synth?

I really can't see anyone doing a VA with no patch memory, not to mention the cost of developing something new from scratch versus making something new with surplus parts from something they already make - I doubt it's a VA

Re: New analog Arturia synth?

If it's a desktop module I'm going to be all over this.
The way they mention it's size anyone think that arturia might be making something to outshine the volcas?

Re: Maschine Studio Coming Soon

About the complaints over update costs - as an early user I don't feel ripped off. I've recieved a number of significant updates free of charge, I knew that whenever they rolled over to 2.0 that it'd cost me. That's the way it goes with software. Development costs money, simple as that. With hardwar...

Re: DSI Introduces the Mopho SE

The Mopho is underrated I think. As some have pointed out the 2 osc mono synth market is getting crowded, but the amount of modulation and the abilities of its sequencer I feel often gets ignored. I just sold mine because I'm running out of space and aren't much of a keyboard player so I would have ...

Mpc + analog4 + kaoss pad

Maybe throw in a compact mixer and you're set

Re: Waldorf Blofeld

I just got a blofeld - my only complaint is I wish it had four outputs and a midi thru.
Have had it for about a week now, it's at the end of a midi chain that goes mpc>machinedrum>blofeld. This is a beast of a percussion setup.

Re: Name some underrated/hated synths that you like

Probably not so under rated now as the prices have gone up signicantly - but the Roland jx3p/8p were pretty good and when I had them I got them both together for under 200. I'm not sure if this is under rated as a community or if I just under estimated them, but I just got a desktop blofeld and I'm ...

Re: Elektron to replace... Everything?

I wouldn't ditch the mpc, a machinedrum pairs very nicely with the mpc. Besides the obvious triggering and sequencing the individual parts, and using the mpcs note repeat on those parts, you can also sequence MD sequences. I'm not particularly a fan of the song mode on elektron gear for chaining pat...

Re: Why the V-Synth is the best thing Roland ever did

What's so great about the sampler?

I don't mean this in an antagonistic way, I mean it as someone who is a sucker for digging for samples and hasn't had a chance to mess with the v synth.

Re: Elektron A4 love? hate? indifference?

I can't sing it's praises as I have yet to buy one. YET. Heh. When I was younger and poorer I used to be hard line against elektron because the price was beyond my means, I'd reason that I could do more for less with a laptop - now that I own a machinedrum I couldn't be more in love with the workflo...
