Re: Syncing old Roland gear - part 2!

That's strange. Seems like the MG1 "interface connections" work both as inputs and also as outputs, depending on what you plug in or something...? I really have no experience with the MG1, maybe check the manual to see what those two jacks do exactly? If what I assume to be happening is indeed the ...

Re: Syncing old Roland gear - part 2!

Alright, So here's what's happening now... I have three stackable cables coming out of the trigger out of the 707. first one goes to the sh-101, second one goes to the juno 60, and the last one goes to the moog mg1. Everything works in sync IF I'm playing a note on the MG-1. When everything is conne...

Re: Syncing old Roland gear - part 2!

Thanks for the info everyone. I'll try the suggestions posted and let you know.

I'm not sure if it was modded. I just was curious to see what would happen with a trigger out of the 707 into the MG-1. Tried it, and it did some cool stuff. Would love to have it all work together.

Re: Syncing old Roland gear - part 2!

I would think that not the SH101, but the MG1 is not syncing correctly - AFAIK it uses an S-trigger instead of the V-trigger that all your Roland stuff uses... when i have the mg-1 hooked up to the tr-707 it syncs totally fine using the trigger out of the 707 and the trigger in of the mg-1. to do t...

Syncing old Roland gear - part 2!

So I previously asked how to sync a tr-707, sh-101, and juno 60 and you guys were a huge help and we figured it out. So I currently have a JSQ 60 which sorts everything out but if I'm just messing around I also bought some stackable cables to run the juno 60 and sh-101 from the one trigger out of th...

Re: Syncing TR-707, SH-101, and Juno 60! Help!

Thanks for all the help guys! And especially for that demo video. I ended up biting the bullet and buying a JSQ-60 from ebay, but it's nice to know I could figure out other ways around it. Definitely excited to get the JSQ up and running though. Now, I've been hearing conflicting reports online abou...

Re: Roland TR-707 vs Sequential Circuits Drumtraks

I actually have both. Had the Drumtraks for a while but just got a 707 for the midi and interfacing with my sh-101 and juno 60. just wondering if I should hold on to the drumtraks for any reason but looks like I can just go ahead and sell it!

Re: Roland TR-707 vs Sequential Circuits Drumtraks

Yes, they do.

BUT if you only had to pick one, which one would it be?

Does the Drumtraks do anything the 707 can't?

Re: Syncing TR-707, SH-101, and Juno 60! Help!

I would love a JSQ-60 but they seem to be very hard to come by.

Is there any way to hook up everything without having to buy more gear?

Syncing TR-707, SH-101, and Juno 60! Help!

So I have a TR-707, SH-101 (no midi), and a Juno 60 (no midi).

The 707 has one Trigger out.

How would I sync everything? I can only sync the 707 with one of the two synths but I feel like I must be missing something.

Excuse my n00b question, I'm new!
