Re: s950 floppy drive replacement

Hi thanks for the reply Rasputin OK I did that and it still said 'oops bad disk' I soldered off that pin 2 wire, sadly not long after it broke off from the chip I've taken a closer photo, it's an Alps DF354H071C (no idea if that's HD or DD, I was sort of hoping it could do both seeing as that's what...

s950 floppy drive replacement

Hi, I have a dead floppy drive for an s950 I bought on ebay and disk drive modified to work in an Amiga. I was told they work with s950's. I've taken everything apart on the s950 and swapped drives over. but I'm still getting 'OOPS BAD DATA ON DISK!' when trying to format a new floppy. (tried about ...

Re: the 8-out expander for ensoniq eps classic, worth it?

:D OK got one now. and even then I'm only really using the 2 extra outputs (so 4 in total) . Had to get it shipped from US to UK but luckily (and I don't know how I got away with this but I wasn't stung with a import tax thing!) http://i63.tinypic.com/2m42bfn.jpg Out of interest I opened it up to se...

the 8-out expander for ensoniq eps classic, worth it?

Is this worth it for the eps classic? gives you 8 outs. They're quite expensive 2nd hand usually this is why I ask.

So mixing/merging 2 signals on a patchbay is a big No No ?

I only just found this out this week. I was searching some info on my behringer pro 2000 (forget its proper name) on google/youtube. and I was like, well if these things are so clever with their routing selections for each patch, how come it can't mix/merge then? Got a reply back saying this should ...

how is this Jungle/Hardcore effect done?

what's happening to the breakbeat at 0:57 ? I hear this a lot in this era of music. Is it a delay? how did they do it?

modding the LFO of the Roland MC202?

does anyone know if it's possible (and if so, how to do it) mod the LFO on the mc202 to make the rate go a lot faster? I want to see if I can get an FM tone out of it. not super fast, just fast enough to get a metallic tone. Safe modding though - obviously I care for its history and will put it back...

Re: What's a good price to pay for a Jupiter 8 these days?

I wouldn't even bother attempting to try and buy one if I'm honest. Unless you win the lottery this weekend.
you might as well just buy an alpha juno 2 or something. if you want affordable 80's sound.

is the Roland JD990 good for ambient pads?

like, earthy pads mixed with a bit of sci-fi. Keep getting recommended it for these style of patches but the units when they do appear on the 2nd hand market are always super expensive like £600 up :o

Re: Name ONE favorite pedal (+more)

some one mentioned earlier the boss ce-1. Can't afford those beasts but I DO LOVE the ce-2 boss chorus! badman chorus sound! so warm sounding I recommend it to anyone!! sounds great on synths. make sure the volume on the synth is low though because of the guitar impedance thing.
