You can find waveform listings at http://www.planet-groove.com/roland/expansion.html.
http://www.synthmania.com has really good demos of the various cards as well.
Regarding the EDM cards, roughly 1/2 the waves are drum hits/oneshots, 1/4 loops, and 1/4 synth/other waves.

As a keyboard player, I like having Session, Vintage Synth and 60s&70s as my standard load out, with another as colour, depending on my needs. So I'm mostly concerned with hurting myself... If the synth gets fried I mean it already doesn't work. What are the chances of personal injury in this situation? I don't think 3 volts will do much in the way of personal injury. You're not shorting the main power - you're shorting the back-up batter...

sounds like you'll have to do a hard reset - if you're not comfortable doing it, download a copy of the service manual, and take that and the keyboard to a reputable service centre. Ring a local music store and find out who they use. It's pretty easy to do it yourself, but I understand your nervousn...

Which is why I keep ending up at the Prophet 6 - I really can't think of anything less screen dependent in the new market.
