A tube/valve pre-amp inline will do the trick.

Re: What classic synth would you like to see Korg mini-ize n

There wouldn't be much room for downsizing Buchla modules, they're too packed with buttons, patch points and knobs already. Anything smaller than Eurorack doesn't exist in the modular world either I think? Mate, I was having a "seniors moment". I was trying to think of something out of production, ...

A full size Mono/Poly re-issue - as a kit.

Have you tried the headphone output? Are you sure there are samples actually loaded?

The Prophet 6 would be worth checking out - the only displays are LEDs, one the for clock, two for the effects block, and one for program number.

Re: playing drum sounds on Roland 1080

function and midi in, gets me to Omni which I switch to off, then choose channel 10 by way of data slider. Channel 10 is then set, but output still plays piano. I've tried channels 1 to 16 to see if this makes any difference, but still get piano I've done this many times now and nothing but piano. ...

Re: Korg T2

I wouldn't buy it for the sequencer - it's competent, rather than creative. It's not hard to use per se, but compared to an Electribe, it's very number oriented and a button mashing fiesta. You can only call up MIDI PC 00~99, even if you can access 32 MIDI channels you still have only 8 tracks/chann...

Re: playing drum sounds on Roland 1080

Ah so my very ancient RX 15 is ok to midi to a newer sound module, but choosing channel 10 is not something it seems to know about. Any ideas. I like the RX15 cos you can alter time and tempo from bar to bar. I've used this for hundreds of recordings, and am quite accurate with it. It would be nice...

thanks! i have ''bulk dump'' as an option, nothing says ''data transfer'' , i assume its the same thing? also, should i wait to get my 'vintage synth' roland expansion card before i do any transfer? a couple of these patches used some of its waveforms. or the data can be transfered without any prob...

Re: jv1080 patch copy to anohter jv1080

Step one: RTFM.
Step two: connect the two modules, handshake. Make sure the MIDI settings on both modules are right.
Step three: transmitter module, Utility/data transfer/(select source(s)); execute,
Step four: receiver module, check and save.
