Re: New Moog Synth- Werkstatt

Nice of Moog to make it available (to recover from Moogfest?) but nay, not at this price point for me.

Re: WTB: Korg Z1 Parts

The ones I found were unrealistically pricey or just too tall. As interim measure (or maybe foreseeable future), I used Chroma Fatty Knobs at the right most three - "freeing" them to fill up vacant ones.

Re: diy synth kits?

Synthesizers are typically defined as electronic instruments that create sound, so by definition yes synths will produce sound, i.e. it has a sound engine (brain). They can be "told" to play via various methods of inputs, e.g. MIDI, CV/Gate, Keyboard and Drum Pads are some I can think of. Draw the d...

Re: When will we see a new (non-DSI) analog poly?

Reply to TS - as soon as an organisation (non-DSI) with the know-how sees a market opportunity to produce one? I agree it should be a matter of time. That said, with choices available today, is something eluding your sonic palette? Analogue or Digital - Recommend seeing them as complementary. Monop...

Re: Roland Juno 106 Dead Keys

Thanks to inputs from members I fixed a range of 8 dead semi-tone keys on my Juno-106! Problem was a broken circuit (now bridged). A broken key was also replaced. I took the opportunity to wash keys and clean up dirt/dust when it got disassembled. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f237/SiR09/Music%2...

Best Synth Teacher

Excluding persons, tutorials and other learning methodologies, which synthesizer do you feel had taught you most about sound synthesis? Remember this is not a competition and neither is the question asking your opinion on the latest/biggest/baddest 8-)

Re: KORG - TRITON TAKTILE - review

Strictly from physical attributes, I was checking it out at a music store the other day. Feels really plastic-ky and wobbly. Pads felt uninspiring. I did not had the opportunity to sound it though. If that is not a dummy set, I do not think it is good at all :geek: I should qualify that I tried it w...

Re: Do you ever feel pressured to use a synth?

No pressure whatsoever and I think it is good to take things in a more positive perspective. Things come and go, nothing lasts forever. My motivation to play comes from wanting to hear them in action, making a new riff, patch, etc.
