Re: Refresh my memory on these virtual analogs

would love to check one or all 3 of those out. only one I ever even heard of by them is yet another organ drawbar b3 clone that they made. had no idea that company had some seriously coolness in it's ranks.

Re: On the hunt for another synth

if you got your eyes set on the jp8000, check out the jp8080, you have enough keys and the rack version has a couple extra voices. or for the same price you can get a roland v synth. you can do anything and everything with one of those, and you will get plenty of head nods from the folks around here...

Blue Monster 65

I was talking about the new holy grail reverb pedal "max" , it is just like the other holy grail pedals but adds a plate reverb as well.

darkstar red sound systems

hey, I just found a darkstar, the older red buttons version. never even heard of this synth, or the company for that matter before, it seems pretty cool, and for the ten min I played with it at the pawn shop it has a unique sound. (I love synths that have their own charm) I have too many that overla...

Re: EHX Clockworks

that's dope. I allways said ehx makes the best pedals for synths right up there with moog. I have ehx micro synth, 8 step, and talk box. one mangles sounds from your synth and can make a goodwill 5 dollar synth sound bomb, one give great rhythmic tones to your expression pedal and the other is a for...

Re: Suggestions regarding good beat production/sampler w/ pa

if you can deal with having to hook up to a computer to use, the akai studio slimline is a really nice drum machine and sampler. it's pretty cheap and basically does everything that it's bigger more expensive brother the renaissance does. all around it's right up there with the ni mashine or arturia...

Re: Cheap Synths With A Lot of Knobs/Sliders/Switches

I second the x station. good synth all around, nice effects too, I have the four octave one, and not only is a great sounding synth but you can load up all the sounds from the k station, most of ks4 and ks5 and the xio synth. and at least the 4 and 5 octave ones have a great spot on the upper right ...

Re: Bass Station 2 beta update

nice. for the musical/studio value of the bs2 it by far exceeds it's low cost! it is a great analog mono synth and a great deal to boot. highly recommended for someone just getting into analog synths and someone who has a plethora of analog gear. novation really hit it out of the park with the bass ...

Re: So... Why no love for Jordan Rudess?

i wached his tutorial's on the kurzweil k2600 and i thought he had a wig on, as i have only ever seen him bald, but with his butt rock hair he had back when that keyboard came out is enough to make you cry laughing. nothing against the guy, may come off like a know it all, and yeah he has his hands ...

Re: mophox4 plus tetra vs prophet 08

yeah I have the tetra. great for a 4 voice poly, all ways seems to me 6 is ideal. and of course 8 is better. just basically how I play, I need 5 doing a 3 key cords with my right hand when not soloing and basically octaves with the 5th's thrown in on the left hand, so I find in my playing style 4 vo...

mophox4 plus tetra vs prophet 08

so is a prophet 08 basically the exact same thing as a mophox4 with a tetra poly chained to it? is there anything beneficial to the mophox4 plus tetra set up or do you pretty much just have a prophet 08????

Re: arturia poly synth......when is the ?

I think you are right, hey meatball, what was the 2nd pic you posted after the a4??? I think if arturia made a 3 octave 4 voice it would be a hit or a 4 octave with the choice to buy it in 4,6,or8 voice, or s**t even a desktop 4,6,8 voice, we all have plenty of keybeds to play from. I really like wh...

Re: how many "plug out" synths will roland make before they

you can "plug out" from your computer, with the sh 101 sounds still inside the system 1. as far as my guess is they will probably only do 1 or 2 more "plug outs" for the system 1, just based on track record alone. it is a 4 voice, so if they do a Jupiter 4 they will be doing system 1 owners and futu...

arturia poly synth......when is the ?

I got a little phatty s2, and a bs2 and a monotribe with a midi kit. all 3 very great analog mono's each with their own ups and downs. but I recently picked up a minibrute as it was too cheap to pass up, and it sounds great. my friend who only plays digi synths and "in the box" had told me not to bu...
