Re: Prophet 6

This Prophet 6 sounds very nice, From reading the posts and watching some of the demo's I like most everything about it but its 49 keys, for me I'd prefer a 61 keybd. Yes, I personally would prefer that it had a five octave keyboard like my Multi-Trak or the Prophet-5, 600, VS etc. He gave it a Six...

Re: Prophet 6

This synth is awesome! Dave finally came through! And with the proper Sequential name too!! God, this is wonderful!! :D Nice transition, I could go from a Sequential Multi-Trak to a Sequential Prophet 6.. I'm glad I got outbid on an ebay Prophet 600 a few weeks ago.. I like Dave's animated hand gest...

Re: DSI PRO 2

Matter of fact, I can't think of a company that ships hardware without requesting charging information. And I'd like to know what kind of item you got sent for review that you were (basically) allowed to keep and you had to suggest sending it back. And they had NO information on you -in case you ne...

Re: Price discrepancies?

I saw a Pro One for 2200€ and an MPC3000 for 3200€ in a music shop in Paris. No. f**k. Joke. I felt cool when the chick came back to my apartment afterwards and I showed her I already had the Pro One :D I hope that one day, I too will be able to feel cool, when I bring a chick back to my house and ...

Re: Resident Audio---new Thunderbolt audio interface

This looked nice until I looked up the price ($500). I am not going to pay more money for a mac audio/midi interface, than I did for my synth.

Re: Synthesizer for a Beginner

Hi tindrum, you could do a lot worse than pick up a cheap Roland Juno 60 He said the most expensive Moog he could afford is a Sub Phatty.. If that is so, a Roland Juno 60 is outside of his budget. The Juno 60 is a $1K to $1.5K synth (what people are paying for them) these days on Ebay. Not exactly ...

Re: dsi pro 2 vs moog voyager

Still, plenty of folks will balk at buying anything without VCOs. this is true, but the last synth of smiths those folksd look at is the T8, right? ;-p I would think that would be the P5, P10 or Pro One. The P600 and T8 have digital EGs which make them less desireable to the die-hard VCO-VCF-VCA gu...

Re: Aesthetics of synths: effective marketing tool ?

Why don't you start off by telling us what irrational synth purchasing decisions you've made.. People, in general, have a history of making decisions based upon looks, or brand name, over substance. It happens every day, somewhere, with something. Just take cars, clothes, girlfriends and boyfriends ...

Re: Mac USB3 compatible MIDI Interfaces?

But I would not be jumping to conclusions like "not compatible with USB 3.0". This is popular gear, surely we'd have seen an internet flare up by now? Thanks for the response, but I am assuming you don't have a USB 3 Mac.. I have found complaints on the Internet specifically with the MIDISport 2x2 ...
