Re: Help me identify a track

Roughly what year was this?

This would help narrow it down a little, though probably not that much. :D

Kind regards,

Global Costs?

Not about a Synth in particular, but more of a curiosity and an overview of costs around the world. Before heading off to Virginia, a few years back now, I checked out a pair of Reeboks in my local store, which were £29.99 I decided to hold on, for which I am glad I did, as I found the same pair in ...

Re: Synth for great bass

Not done much bass sound wise, but my YouTube put an Arturia Microbrute demo up as a "recommended for you".

Perhaps you should check this out, along with the Minibrute?

Kind regards,

Re: Hello

I had recently started using VSTi's a lot, but there is something about having a piece of equipment in front of you that a computer just can't replace. I treated myself to a Waldorf Blofeld for Christmas, and am just going through the sound banks before editing them down into my favourites. Phil We...

Re: Hello

The early days of synthesizers, to me, was both exciting and disappointing, but it was one of the few occasions where we felt were part of something new and unique. I know they had been out for some time before I discovered them, but the late 1970s/early 1980s was when they started to come into thei...

Re: DX 21 vs CZ 1000

I have both, but have to confess it is some considerable time since I played with either. The DX21 is certainly the most robustly constructed of the two, but the CZ has a certain quirkiness. Unfortunately, keyboards do take up space and, since the family came along, I had to pack up most of my equip...

Re: Anyone know this shop? The Avenues Instruments

I haven't dealt with the company, but I am always dubious of an organisation that fails to display a trading address or telephone number on their website.

After a quick Google search I found >this< thread from back in 2009.

I certainly wouldn't risk dealing with them.

Kind regards,

Re: Midi Control

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I was thinking along similar lines but, for some reason, didn't pay attention to the patch numbering. Having just powered up and checked, the Waldorf does indeed start at patch 001, whereas the Korg starts at 000, which explains the 1 difference. I should pa...

Midi Control

Until recently, I have only used Midi to control my keyboards from CuBase, Cakewalk, etc. When I got the Waldorf Blofeld I have been running it from my Korg Triton LE, with everything running fine: joystick works, sustain peddle works, etc. However, I have noticed that when I use the Triton's keypad...

Hello

Sorry if this isn't the right place, but I couldn't work out where else to say hello. I have been into synthesisers, and electronic music, since the early 1980s, and have amassed quite a bit of equipment let the years. I had recently started using VSTi's a lot, but there is something about having a ...
