Re: Flexible and easy to use Drum machine

The Emu command station is the best option on the cheap budget. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_md8fydYNS61r0n788.jpg http://www.vintagesynth.com/emu/emu_mp7.jpg  Looks good though. Will check that one out too. Thanks ;) Yeah definitely worth it. It's one of EMUs rack synths in a groovebox form...

Re: Korg Poly 61 for $300 too much?

How is the condition of that Poly 61? It's a funny build, I think it's particle board because it was too keep its price low. There is a Poly61M which has midi. If its in good shape $300 isn't awful. Check how the buttons feel. You could always sample the melodies with the patches you make. Where is ...

Re: Desktop Monosynth

Hey thank you for the information. Have you seen the smaller monophonic synths? I was looking for one of those. It's a German manufacturer and from what I saw of it, it only has MIDI in and audio out. I will know it when I see it.

Re: Desktop Monosynth

Futureretro XS and MFB dominion x are worth a look, too the SEM eats the A4 alive in raw tone...the A4 sounds very good, sure, but there is a difference between 4 duplicate voices+sequencer+FX vs. just ONE voice for similar money. the SEM is one of the out-and-out CLASSIC monosynth sounds and hasn'...

Re: Nord vs Alesis????

Back in 2005, I had the option between a Nordlead 2x and Alesis Ion (both new). I went with the Ion just for the sheer feature overload in comparison. No faith in Alesis. Euro crafted gear is the way to go. The EU has become the 1980's US. All US manufacturers seem to care about is software and cra...

Re: SOFTWARE REVOLUTION

I love software.for sample mangling & sending stuff to my samplers, but every time I try to use it musically something can't play in time, something runs out of resources, something crashes in some wierd way, or something just doesn't work properly when it otherwise should. My computer is noisy, so...

ELEKTRON SYNTHS?

Used to love the brand but what is up with those new patches and screwy manuals on-line? Did anyone see how cheaply the new versions are built compared to what they were making in 2007?
