Re: Mid week MIDI - every Wednesday

Here's the final part to the MIDI DIN to TRS adapter series - this one is a box. I think this is the best solution as it is the cheapest to make and you can use your existing cables.

Re: Mid week MIDI - every Wednesday

This video talks about making a prototype MIDI DIN to TRS adapter with Type A --> Type B switch - and goes into the Midi.org specs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0102mcFd5U This video is Part 2 and shows how to make a more robust (gig-worthy) version (now that the prototype works): https://www.yo...

a quick search of this forum should have got you to this thread:

TL;DR - the famous SYNC sound is a Jupiter 8. The thread also talks about other synths used on that song, FX and mixer.

If I was to say where does it come from - I'd say it is a cross between an ARP Odyssey and a RSF Kobol - and they are both amazing analog synth makers! It has an ARP. The only negat...

Mid week MIDI - every Wednesday

Hi amazing people! I've started a weekly video series about MIDI. As it is such a big topic, I'm producing segment series on various areas. I started with SYSEX and have now moved onto NRPNs. I'm hoping this will help out some of you who find it a little tricky. Here's the video released yesterday o...

Re: Help Identyying synth used on childrens album

I'm aware of these videos, as I am a father, and we purchased them for our first child around 2003. Baby Einstein was the brain child of Julie Aigner-Clark. The early videos were just done by her and her husband. The Bach video was done in 1998 - and it was still only her and her husband. This was ...

Utopia - a DAWless track with video :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0z66xrZuJQ A DAWless track. Video shows the central sequencer pairing to the various gear used on each sequence, with a car journey in the foreground. Hopefully it is an interesting take instead of just watching synths and buttons. Gear used: Akai MPC Live as the br...
