Re: 80s Pad? - Please Help

My guess is the Korg Wavestation or M1. One of the sounds reminds me of one of their presets.

Re: anyone else like wurly/rhodes/clavinet/organ here?

Sadly I have to rely on samples, if I had the money and space I'd have physical versions of each keyed instrument ever made. At one point I had an acoustic piano and a small dual tier organ, but moved into a smaller place and they had to go. One of of these days...

Re: You can only have one...

Well for the poly I suppose a maxed out KRONOS would be the logical choice, as far as the mono goes perhaps a mahogany/indigo Voyager.

Re: What workstation should i buy?

Buy used, an older professional unit is better than a newer intermediate or entry unit. Something like the Fantom X8 or maybe G8(which I owned a X6 at one point) would be ideal. That or there's the M3 and the Motif. Plenty of options out there.

Re: Waldorf Micro Q/Blofeld

Read through and apparently the Q does have a drive setting under the filter, and double checked the effects section and it has the same limitations as the Blofeld. Can't have reverb and delay at the same time... So it boils down to 2 sub oscillators and vocoder or PPG filter and user wavetables. I'...

Re: Waldorf Micro Q/Blofeld

Ah and the Q has a vocoder, knew there was something else. Then again get filter drive and the PPG filter and user wavetables with the Blofeld like you mentioned. That and the oscillator difference. Thanks for the response by the way. If anything this will be more for replacing the AN1x than the VFX...

Waldorf Micro Q/Blofeld(Q is here and first impressions)

Hello everyone, I have a little bit of a conundrum here. I've downloaded the manuals for both units and have skimmed through them. From what I can gather the Blofeld is more advanced except for when it comes to the effects section, and the Micro Q has a more hands on interface. That and the Q has 5 ...

Re: Jx 8p V's Jx 10?

The JX-8P is the only synth I've kept over the years and will never sell. Would the PG-800 make like easier? Yes, but once you get the hang of it you really don't need it at all. Especially considering for the cost of the PG-800 you can just get another synth. Either way, definitely one of the best ...
