From the Ebay offer you linked: "Terminals: 3 Radial Pins - 2 Positive - 1 Negative"

Re: using 2032 batteries instead of a barrel styled battery?

Ah, hold on! Forget the previous! That barrel shaped battery is a rechargeable one (sorry, I had overlooked this in the first place), so just replace it with an identical type if its faulty (it's about $10 or even less, but it'll last for a long time). The common batteries are not designed for being...

Re: using 2032 batteries instead of a barrel styled battery?

If I understood you correctly, your 3 pin batteries look similar to these ? If yes, just ignore them having three pins since 2 of them are electrically identical. It's just to make them asymmetric => you can't install them the wrong way round. It depends on the circuit whether using 3 instead of 3.6...

Re: Yamaha DX21 not working

I replaced the battery and no change. I plugged a midi cable out into another syth and the DX21 works as a controller. I tried it with the DX21 receiving midi and there was no sound. Any ideas? I may be mistaken, but did you actually load sounds (via sysex, unless you programmed something yourself)...

Re: Korg Poly-800 Modifications / Hawk-800

the "Atoma-hawk" is the resonance enhancement only. You must have the "Hawk-800" mod first. There are a few nice mods for the Poly-800 indeed. If you don't wanna go the "Hawk route", look for * " Moog slayer ", which ads a cutoff and a resonance pot, * " FM-800" , which creates some FM-ish sounds, ...

Re: Behringer about to release six (!) new synths

Neither link posted leads to any such thing at the moment. They definitely did when I first posted this yesterday - including rather detailed descriptions (no pictures, however). And it definitely was on the official Behringer web site. Some *cough* "accidental leak" to get people talking, I suppos...

Re: Behringer about to release six (!) new synths

The Wasp, Cat and MS-20 are announced to be in Euro; the 2600 in 6U.

And there's more - 808, 909 and 999.

Behringer about to release six (!) new synths

No hoax apparently, and no clickbait by me -

they are actually announcing the following clones (some of them in Eurorack format):

(1) Wasp Deluxe
(2) ARP 2600
(3) Octave Cat
(4) EMS Synthi VCS3
(5) Korg MS-20
(6) Roland SH-101 (BK, GY, BU => black, gray, blue)

Re: Yamaha DX21 broken?

Hi, that indeed sounds like a dead battery and/or no patches in the memory (which may be due to a dead battery, of course)*. At least that'd be the first thing to check - which, luckily, isn't too difficult. There even is a video which I found quite helpful when I replaced the battery in mine. Uploa...

Re: How do I sync Yamaha CS15d (vintage synth) with Volca be

Ah yes, the SQ-1 would look nice with the Volca. I think though, that the Beatstep is the better sequencer? Not sure about the Beatstep (never used one), but I think it is more or less comparable to the SQ-1. The Beatstep allows saving sequences. however, which may (not necessarily though) be an ad...

Re: How do I sync Yamaha CS15d (vintage synth) with Volca be

It won't work for LFO speed (since that requires a modification of your Yamaha synth, as pointed out before), but if you want to sequence it as such, a Korg SQ-1 sequencer should do the job:

Volca Beats Sync Out => SQ-1 Sync In
SQ-1 CV & Gate Out => CS15D CV & Gate In.

Re: Why are Euroracks called "Euroracks?"

I assume Behringer's Eurorack-series mixers are a completely different thing. I am surprised that the same name is used for different products / rack standards. Yep, that's weird. The Behringer 'Eurorack' mixers aren't even rack mountable, they are standalone units (I have a Behringer Eurorack UB10...

It says what it is in the Ebay description ;): Looking online ZW Electronics is a Swiss/Italian company with not much history behind it and the "Bassmachine" was the only synth to have been commercially available in small numbers.
