Re: Modulus 002 --- new synth from UK

Mostly all modern synths have some kind of "drift" or "slop" knob that randomly detunes the voices to emulate vintage synths. So yes, they did think of that already. See my post above. Slop is random. It drifts around perfect tune. In essence it is just like a more pronounced chorus. I am talking a...

Re: Modulus 002 --- new synth from UK

But I am waiting for the poly synth that will offer sophisticated detuning possibilities. All this fantastic new synths sound too much in tune, and that makes their sound so cold and clinical. When you listen to vintage synths, it's all very detuned, and that's why we like it so much. Now that we h...

@mute

Yes. But why are then all new synths covered with knobs? My claim is simple, because we like them there and not somewhere else.

Re: What can a Roland JX-3P do without PG 200 programmer

JX3P programmer affair was actually a design flop. Separating the "programmer" from the synth and putting it in a separate box was really bad idea, a bizare marketing ploy. Not a "design flop" at all. Roland had much success with this concept - MKS-80 with MPG-80, JX3P,MKS-30,GR-700 with PG-200, JX...

JX3P programmer affair was actually a design flop. Separating the "programmer" from the synth and putting it in a separate box was really bad idea, a bizzare marketing ploy. Not only you had to purchase additional box and spend extra money for something that cannot be used for any other purpose, you...

Re: Time signature question

Rather obvious case of syncopation over 4/4.
