Re: Anyone get any good Juno or Jupiter sounds from an A Sta

Again, thanks everybody for helping out with my quest for tones. The Chorus isn't too great on this thing but I know Boss makes some good ones. Perhaps even a Roland or Boss Rack unit! Until recently I didn't know how much chorus was a big part of the Juno sound. I loved my Juno 106 that I got repai...

Re: Anyone get any good Juno or Jupiter sounds from an A Sta

Hey guys, great news! I am finally getting the hang of this A Station. My "Juno setting" is getting there, not to the place I want it just yet. However the bass sounds on this little guy are kickin'! I am comparing the sounds with my Little Phatty and this thing can hold its own for sure. I was able...

Re: Anyone get any good Juno or Jupiter sounds from an A Sta

THANK YOU! I will give it a try this afternoon. I have a Little Phatty and a Juno 106 and I found tons of presets on there without even having to tweak anything so I guess I am new to altering the sounds and got spoiled by not having to.

Re: Sysex with Novation K & V Station

I have a Novation A Station and I am using Sysex Librarian as well with similar results. I want to load up some Jupiter or Juno patches but I can't seem to get the A Station to receive ANYTHING? Its protection is off but still nothing. Is there a special mode that it needs to be in? So far it has be...

Anyone get any good Juno or Jupiter sounds from an A Station

Hello everyone! I recently got a Novation A Station because I wanted a compact polyphonic synth. It got really good reviews but I am having a hard time dialing in tones similar to my Roland Juno 106. Most of the sounds I am getting are maybe a bit too "modern" and resemble, trance, house, and "Night...

Importing Patches to my Novation A Station with Sysex

Hi everyone! I just recently got a Novation A Station Synth and I am trying to IMPORT patches onto the A Station from my computer. First off, what I am trying to do is download patches from vintage keyboards like a Juno, Jupiter, Arp, Moog, etc. and make the A Station sound like like one one of thos...

Re: Synth Spa- Haven't seen my 106 in almost a year...

I gave him my 106 in November and he said that it would be done b4 the end of the year. Kept getting pushed back and back and back...........back some more I finally got it back in June. He did a good job, however when I got it, the patches that had the chorus LEDs lit up I noticed weren't chorusing...

Re: Which Hardware Sequencer for full songs?

Hey everyone, thanks for all of the good advice! I played my first show last week with my current setup and it went really well. The MPC 1000, Moog LP, and Juno 106 did just what they needed to do and it sounded great. I think that I may be interested in the idea of programming my tracks on a cpu fi...

Re: Which Hardware Sequencer for full songs?

Re: Which Hardware Sequencer for full songs?

Hey everyone, thanks for all of the replies. By recording live midi, I don't mean record live at the show. I mean like, record a performance with your hands and synth/drum machine even with the little "humanistic" mess ups. Not just punch in the exact right thing through the step/grid method. I just...

Which Hardware Sequencer for full songs?

Hi everyone! I am looking for a hardware sequencer (preferably rack mountable) that controls synth and drum machines via midi and also records midi. I need it to be able to record full songs and play out live. I need it to be able to record live midi in real time as well as a step sequencer. Does su...

My Roland MSQ-100, a user error or a big turd?

I just got a Roland MSQ-100 and it looks nice but it doesn't function too nice. After an afternoon with this thing I have found myself very frustrated. All the function on the MSQ seem to bee working but when I go to play back what I played, nothing happens. The MSQ display screen shows that measure...
