Re: Juno 106 showing strange behavior

The plot thickens.. I go back a few hours later to work on some stuff and fire it up just for the heck of it and it seems to be working again perfectly fine.. I'd still love to know what might be going on here, but I'm also thrilled to see it's back in perfect shape. you can see for yourself what we...

Juno 106 showing strange behavior (resolved?)

Hi everyone, So my Juno 106 was fired up today. It had been off for a couple of months I imagine but last time it was working just fine and it has been recently serviced. caps replaced.. voice chips treated.. clean bill of health. nothing has happened to it but when i turned it on i noticed this str...

Re: opinions on Korg Triton Expansion Chips? Pianos especial

bump just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this. the pianos are so blah in the triton.. but that video does sound nice.. but i would imagine there are more instruments on there than just the one piano. Not sure $85+ is worth it for one really nice piano..

Re: opinions on Korg Triton Expansion Chips? Pianos especial

I did find this video.. does sound pretty impressive. Still hearing from some legitimate owners who have some experience would be great. I do see that some software has to be ran to let the system know the cards are there? i guess this software is online somewhere, so that's good to know. i'm surpri...

opinions on Korg Triton Expansion Chips? Pianos especially

So I recently sold my pimped out K2500RS and realized I really didn't have much in the way of pianos except the ones in my basic Korg Triton 61 Classic. That is to say, pretty lousy. I know there is a 16mb chip out there that specializes in keyboards and wonder if anyone can attest to their quality....

Re: Moog Werkstatt VCO kill switch / mute?

Hi there, thanks so much for this reply! I STILL haven't heard back from anyone in the Moog forum about this after several bumps. That does sound like it will be easy to do without harming anything else, which of course is a big concern. that disabling it might impact some other core functionality. ...

Moog Werkstatt VCO kill switch / mute? (resolved)

Hi everyone, So I finally got my hands on my first official moog product. The werkstatt which was exciting because it's affordable (though the MCV4 I got for it made it less so, but I wanted MIDI CV for more than just the moog).. One of the big attractions was that it does have external audio input ...

Re: understanding Loading Korg Triton sample programs (resol

OK I think I got it figured out mostly.. that helped a lot. Still experiencing some weirdness but it's of course user error more than anything wrong with the system. Thanks for that snippet of info! :)

Re: trouble understanding Loading Korg Triton sample program

Also to help ask further, at what point does the Triton know to load samples into a respective program entry? When you first boot up does it know to pull samples from my custom program that points to RAM for it's waveform? So far this hasn't happened for me. It just seems like I have to manually loa...

understanding Loading Korg Triton sample programs (resolved)

Hi there, I wanted to see if anyone out there might have some solid Triton (original first gen classic 61 key version) sampler experience. So with the Triton, I've made some good strides with figuring out how to make a new sample.. edit it.. put it in one of the existing patch slots. Overall I like ...

Re: Doepfer MCV4 first time user (resolved)

nice, that's good to know and yea if i brought the minibrute up i wonder what the difference would be. one thing i'm a "little" disappointed by is the cv/gate doesn't trigger the step sequencer.. local keyboard makes that work.. and MIDI does it as well.. BUT it does I'm pretty sure transmit cv so t...

Re: Doepher MCV4 first time user, is unit is bad or user?!

ok I just learned something else now that might be obvious to experts but check it. When I hit different notes ON the microbrute this changes the transpose for what note is heard with an external midi device! So if I hit C on my midi device.. and then hit C on the Microbrute.. I go back to the MIDI ...

Re: Doepher MCV4 first time user, is unit is bad or user?!

Ok so I did some more testing and yes for some reason Ableton (even with just "tracks") apparently sends some really nasty MIDI that the device doesn't like.. maybe its the Tascam US-1800 midi interface also which I just got. I can't find my other MIDI USB adapter to trouble shoot at the time of thi...

Re: Doepher MCV4 first time user, is unit is bad or user?!

so i did some more digging around and i guess for some reason the midi coming from ableton is what the problem is. i took my trusty DR-5 which i like to use as a portable midi controller and plugged it in and it worked properly. Seems like the MIDI coming from ableton drives the minibrute itself fin...
