Re: EX8000 battery location?

awesome thanks for the insight. i'm going to get it serviced right away. do you know if they made the EX user repalceable or soldered on? I'm sure it's soldered on like the DW, but ugh.. I take it you have to remove that top board to get to the battery? There should be a law that requires any batter...

EX8000 battery location? (resolved)

Hi everyone, I'm about to buy a EX8000 from someone. I'm a long time DW8000 owner and just wanted to try a smaller model to save some space. It's in good shape according to the seller (local guy I'll test in person) but he never changed the battery in the last 4 years he's owned it and i believe he'...

Re: Moog MG-1 Question (LFO triggered by external?)

yea the Kitten definitely did that.. but that is unfortunate that LFO slaving wouldn't be something easier to manage.. I took it for granted that the Kitten did that assuming they all would.

Moog MG-1 Question (LFO triggered by external?)

Hi everyone, i was considering getting one of these but a big factor in knowing if this was a good buy is knowing if when i use my MIDI CV/Gate converter, will notes going in trigger the LFO? I'd like to be able to send a steady note stream which would play notes and also make the sample and hold ch...

Re: Moog Werkstatt VCO kill switch / mute?

here is a video of the end result. I should have taken photos while it was open, but honestly it's so simple, it's not needed. JMP57 has a jumper in it.. remove that and put two wires from those points to a switch. find a good place you want to mount it and boom.. i will say the one is expect to put...

Re: Moog Werkstatt VCO kill switch / mute?

Ok so I had the operation done. pin 57 appears to do the trick. When it was still disassembled I was worried because of some noise issues but i realized the adapter board wasn't screwed in which acts as a ground. there is a jumper there, removed it and put two wires to a switch. very nice indeed. So...

Re: Juno 106 showing strange behavior (resolved?)

cool yea that might explain it.. i'll keep an eye on that for sure. i moved things around i tried that but yea something might have gotten stuck.. thanks for the insight! that last point might be the best likely answer because notice the effect carries over to various patches regardless.. i realize ...

Re: Juno 106 showing strange behavior

The plot thickens.. I go back a few hours later to work on some stuff and fire it up just for the heck of it and it seems to be working again perfectly fine.. I'd still love to know what might be going on here, but I'm also thrilled to see it's back in perfect shape. you can see for yourself what we...

Juno 106 showing strange behavior (resolved?)

Hi everyone, So my Juno 106 was fired up today. It had been off for a couple of months I imagine but last time it was working just fine and it has been recently serviced. caps replaced.. voice chips treated.. clean bill of health. nothing has happened to it but when i turned it on i noticed this str...

Re: opinions on Korg Triton Expansion Chips? Pianos especial

bump just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this. the pianos are so blah in the triton.. but that video does sound nice.. but i would imagine there are more instruments on there than just the one piano. Not sure $85+ is worth it for one really nice piano..

Re: opinions on Korg Triton Expansion Chips? Pianos especial

I did find this video.. does sound pretty impressive. Still hearing from some legitimate owners who have some experience would be great. I do see that some software has to be ran to let the system know the cards are there? i guess this software is online somewhere, so that's good to know. i'm surpri...

opinions on Korg Triton Expansion Chips? Pianos especially

So I recently sold my pimped out K2500RS and realized I really didn't have much in the way of pianos except the ones in my basic Korg Triton 61 Classic. That is to say, pretty lousy. I know there is a 16mb chip out there that specializes in keyboards and wonder if anyone can attest to their quality....

Re: Moog Werkstatt VCO kill switch / mute?

Hi there, thanks so much for this reply! I STILL haven't heard back from anyone in the Moog forum about this after several bumps. That does sound like it will be easy to do without harming anything else, which of course is a big concern. that disabling it might impact some other core functionality. ...

Moog Werkstatt VCO kill switch / mute? (resolved)

Hi everyone, So I finally got my hands on my first official moog product. The werkstatt which was exciting because it's affordable (though the MCV4 I got for it made it less so, but I wanted MIDI CV for more than just the moog).. One of the big attractions was that it does have external audio input ...

Re: understanding Loading Korg Triton sample programs (resol

OK I think I got it figured out mostly.. that helped a lot. Still experiencing some weirdness but it's of course user error more than anything wrong with the system. Thanks for that snippet of info! :)
