Roland SR-JV Cards - Urgent Fix Required

Hi all ** all Roland SR-JV Card Users** Not sure if you have seen this post by fellow VSE member Manny (it was buried inside a separate post): "On a related note, I stumbled upon this thread the other day about the risks of a capacitor exploding on SRJV boards. Apparently Roland has issued a warning...

Re: File playing/conversion problem

I have some hana barbera sound effects files that I want to use in my Motif XF, but they are giving me trouble. I am using a PC running Windows 7. Here is what is happening: I can open the main folder. I can open the sub folders. If I click on an individual mp3 file inside one of the subfolders it ...

Re: K2000 Questions

The K2000 is a deep synth and can hold its own against many 'modern' synths... how much fun you will have with it is entirely up to you but it's capable of doing quite a bit. To get you started, check out these links and do some reading: http://kurzweil.com/knowledgebase/k2000/ http://kurzweil.com/p...

Re: Your latest musical purchase

I just picked up a second hand but mint condition Keith McMillen 12 Step foot controller... not technically a synth but now I can play backing pads/trigger samples while playing guitar (and sing because I haven't got enough to do all at the same time...)

K2000 Pitch Bend repair/service

Hi all Bit of a long shot here.... I have a K2000 with a pitch bend wheel that sort of works.... the bend isn't smooth in either direction and only bends the note once it's almost at the extreme end of the bend. When I bend upwards, the note's pitch is unaffected until the wheel is rotated about 90%...

Quality costs money.... and yes, it is also good for earthy pads.

Re: Finally put up the first two tracks of my new album

After nearly two years of writing, I finally decided to sit down and start recording some stuff. I don't know a lot about mixing but I'm teaching myself a lot in the process. Anyway, the link is below. Let me know what you think or if you have any input. https://terrapinsounds.bandcamp.com/album/wh...

Re: K2000 blowing fuses on startup.

Seems like something the tech could have addressed while it was already there, instead of cheating his way through the project. :| You don't know half of it ... I had to literally beg him to look at the synth because in his words, he HATES Kurzweil and things they're a pile of cr*p... he didn't eve...

K2000 blowing fuses on startup.

Hi all I have an old and very temperamental K2000 that every dozen or so startups will blow the safety fuses installed at the rear of the synth. Sometimes it won't happen for ages and other times, it will happen at just about every startup so I haven't been able to work out if it's because of what I...

New Track - Whale Bird

Hi all...

Just posted a new track ... the title came from my daughter from a picture she drew (yeah, I know it's not quite the same as 'Lucy in The Sky' but the picture IS really good) :D .

Enjoy.

We get spam like this almost daily. It's usually only one or two posts, not the huge bot deluges we had been getting a year ago. Hi Meatball... Yep - it's certainly not a flood but I thought that it might be the calm before the storm.... bloody annoying posts though. Thanks for letting us know. che...
