Re: would you buy a new korg analog drum machine
I definitely would... a Volca Kick meets Beats on crack. Yeah, I can go for that.

Re: Roland 909 Day
Forgive me as I'm a week or so late to this party, but this TR09 release surprises me. Where does it leave the TR8? Roland seem to be bringing out products that rival each other?? And yet they still seem to be commited to the TR8 with the recent expansion kits and lets face it, the Aria range is pr...

Re: Roland 909 Day
A level difference will always make the louder thing sound "better". I think quite the opposite, lower volume means more room to breathe and depth. Hence the loudness war ruining the dynamic range of music. The louder something is, the less room there is causing sounds to compete for said limited s...

Re: Roland 909 Day
Also, love it when a big company releases a new product and people with less than 50 posts come here to complain about it. :D So what? I owned a piece of gear and used it, I can have an opinion about it. I owned all of the Roland Aira gear and sold all of it, except for the MX-1 mixer. I like the e...

Re: Roland 909 Day
Ok, a somewhat more affordable version with not such old parts inside. A TR-909 is a bit pricey.ninja6485 wrote:It exists! I have one. It's called the TR-909.MyKeyZ wrote:Can we please just get an analog 909 that sounds good?

Re: Roland 909 Day
After seven pages of spam, I finally find the 909 thread again! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csWlxhzjt2E This 909 comparison video really shows how inferior sounding these newer emulations are. The sound gets crappier as you go down the line from the 909 to the TR-8 to the TR-09. The original soun...

Re: Roland 909 Day
Roland really screwed the pooch with the System-8 by making no patching available. ?? The System 500 is already available. What other features are missing? Sampling, a coffee machine and multi-track recording? C'mon! But they already had the System-1m that was hugely popular, more so than the keybo...

Re: Roland 909 Day
For me, this is Roland's biggest disappointment yet. I just see lots of regurgitated recent technology being rebundled in newer packaging. Such a waste. Roland really screwed the pooch with the System-8 by making no patching available. There's lots of dead space for a semi-modular patchbay to be clo...

Re: Roland 909 Day
I also wonder if the TB-03 will only be the standard 303 sound or have more sounds like the Aira TB-3. I can't see them charging $100 more than the Aira TB-3 and then limiting the different sounds to just the 303 sound. If you have something like the TR-8 with multiple classic drum machines, why dro...

Re: Roland 909 Day
Someone on the KVR boards said that the TR-09 will be $450 and the TB-03 will be $400. If true, Roland lost their damn minds. The TR-8 is only $50 more and you get both the 808 and 909. Plus the ability to upgrade more drum kits. The TB-03 would be $100 more than the TB-3. Why? Because it looks more...

Thanks man!Rokk wrote:Great stuff! Thanx. I'd say you have your own style. And indeed it is quite soundtrack-ish.

Glad ya dig
It's a bit different from my usual stuff so I was wondering how people would react.
So far quite positive
