Re: What songs were these synths used in?

Ok. Someone can lock the thread because people already ask enough about what was used in what song.

Re: what is a good starting synth?

I would want something that is about 300-500 dollars. I would want monophonic sounds and polyphonic sounds in one synth. I also do not mind beeps and blips on a synthesizer because I like Nintendo 8-bit sounds.

Re: What are the synths used here ??

It could be a sampler. But maybe it could be a Roland JV/XP series keyboard.

No you can't. The analog filter (LPF only) can only be used with the analog synth part. The filters used by the digital parts are digital.
I was thinking of the JD Xa.

Re: Synths used in Land of Make Believe and Holiday

The synths are: square-wave bell sound, chords that sound like a synth harpsichord and an analog voice. The song is from 1981.

what is a good starting synth?

Is there any synth that is good for people who are new to synths?
I have seen the Microbrute and it sounds good. I would prefer polyphony though?
I am looking at something other than Casio/Yamaha synths.
maybe the Microkorg. It has good sounds for experimenting and it has modulation control.

Re: Microkorg / Korg R3 / Roland Gaia (Looking for 80s sound

I tried out the JD-Xi at Guitar Center. I personally think that is great, because you can mix digital waveforms with analog filters, meaning you can create some synth bass sounds with the SuperNatural waves, which are in fact VA, just like the SH-01. But if you want to make Moog or Prophet 5 sounds,...

Synths used in Land of Make Believe and Holiday

What synths were used in Land of Make Believe? Especially for the synth bells in the intro and the synth portamento lead in the chorus of the song.
What synth was used for Holiday by Madonna for the resonant synth?

Re: What synth makes this sound?

I found out what it was. My Yamaha PSR e443 has the exact same sound when I turn the resonance all the way up on the Charang Lead patch. Was there any Yamaha keyboards in the early 90's with a resonance knob and XGLite MIDI? Oh. I see the resemblance to the wickedly evil Nick Jr. character. I think ...

Also: what was used on Bucks Fizz Land of Make Believe? Especially the octave synth.
What Korg polysynths were around in 1984 (I saw a song from then which was my first time seeing a Korg from the 80s being played live other than a M1
