Re: Roland JV-90 vs. JX-305

I have the JV-90 which is great, but In the JX-305
You get a sequenser and bigger wave ROM.
I would go for the JX also

Re: Akai S2800 SCSI Card problem (waiting for disk)

That is correct that's the one Had same problem changed the fuse, but still no luck. Hope yours Will work. You Can check it. I do not know if You have to take it out first. Nomally a working fuse Will allow voltage over the fuse, so a voltmeter and meassure resistance over the fuse should indicate 0...

Re: Beginner looking for a good first synth/sequencer

Samplers are not for beginners In my opinion. Normally the old samplers needs disc before they Can make a sound. Some do have sounds In ROM but I would recomend a synthesizer. Yamaha made a great synth EX5 and EX7 they are both synthesizer and sampler with ram exp i it's In. I have it and it is grea...

Re: First synth: korg monologue vs ms20 mini (or others)

If You have a midi keyboard there is Mopho analog
synth module from Dave Smith instruments.
The roland boutique series also modules no kbd.

Vintage synths perhaps.

Yamaha cs1x and cs2x. They should be In the range
They sound great and Can do techno and lots more.

Re: Roland RS-505 Paraphonic Strings - Modern Equivalent?

Just heard the waldorf
In my opinion it sounds at least as good as the 505 and
it is without outboard equipment.
Also it is probably the cheapest solution.

Happy newyear

Re: Roland RS-505 Paraphonic Strings - Modern Equivalent?

Most synth with outboard gear Can make that sound.
Even digital synths. Most vintage analog synths are rather expensive.
The yamaha SK-20 sounds similar In the video.
The waldorf also. Try to look at the videos made with the Waldorf.
Maybe that Will show if You Can also get the Bass.
