Re: Lost DX7 sounds

I would go for a more analog or VA synth
Madonna used mini moog and many more besides
DX-7
Why not go for the new Roland modules?
They should sound very good.

Re: Lost DX7 sounds

The ram card uses a coin battery. I am not sure about rom cartridge however it could be damaged somehow. I hope you get the midi from computer transfer to work. There is dx7 software called dexed that can read sysex data and play it. You can also edit sounds. It could perhaps help you a bit while wa...

Re: Yamaha DX100 Newer compatible keyboards

Why not use a midi control keyboard and stop using the DX-100 other as a sound module?
Then it will last. No mechanical wearing just data flow except for turning the unit on off

Else you can use those kbd in earlier post

Re: What synthesizer will create these bass sounds ?

Well not my kind of music, but forget the DX-7. It can not do filter sweeps. It can make a damn good bass. Maybe a Korg volca keys. It can do bass and a very good one. It is cheap compared to the ones you listed. It can record when you turn the knobs in realtime. So it can do filter sweeps with Lfo ...

Re: New to synths: Help!

Hi If You have an iPhone or ipad try the funkbox app It Can be sync to midi. It has samples of 70-80' drum machine and has presset patterns as Well as programmable ones. A cool app. Tr-808, 707, RX-11 and many more. Then the synths. Again to save money look in the app department if you have an iPad....

Re: Would the Korg M1 be a decent synth for darker music?

Hi

Why not try the iM1 for iPad?
It sounds like the M1. I have the M3r and the N1r the iPad M1 is great and you can have almost all the cards for next to nothing. :o
