Juno 6 for $620, should I get it?

I could have the chance to get a Roland Juno 6 for $620 from a guy on craigslist. Works perfectly, it only has a broken stick on the bender (which works fine), and the arpeggiator motion switch is missing (Up, down, Down-up) both easily fixable.

-Thanks,

Re: Really trying to figure out the synths in these songs

Picking one of the links, Indonesian synth music? At first I would say they are most likely 90s samplers. The non American beats and sounds make me want to say that an Korg M1 might have been used, or even a Kurzweil K2000, K2500, or K2600; both very popular for non American music.

Re: Roland Juno 106 or Yamaha DX7 IID

Thanks for replying guys, I ended up choosing the Juno 106 and I am loving it. It's got all of the cheesy 80's sounds that people love, but the sound quality is very clean and crisp. Programming with it's sliders is one of the funnest parts. The 106 goes great along side the Korg DW 8000.

Re: Synthwave with JX-8P, Juno 2, Juno 6 and TR-626

Sounds very good! Don't know much about the Jx- 8P, but it sounds great. You made a great revival of old 80's synth music. The recording is flawless, what do you use for recording?
Keep up the good work,

Kurzweil K2000: Original sounds or VP/VX sounds(K2500 Sounds

Was thinking of changing the EPROMS on my K2000, would you prefer the version 4 with original sounds(1-199) and orchestral and contemporary(800-999) or version 5 with newer VP/VX (K2500 Sounds) sounds with orchestral and contemporary with extra 600-799 in rom? Please feel free to leave feedback, Tha...

Re: Kurzweil K2000 VP PRAM upgrade

Thanks for replying @Yekuku, I have seen that link before. Not too sure if older or newer PRAM expansions would work with my instrument. Would you know how to install this expansion? (which wires soldered, what wires needed, etc) I plan to load a lot of samples onto the K2000, and do a lot of sequen...

Kurzweil K2000 VP PRAM upgrade

Hello, I was thinking of expanding the PRAM on my Kurzweil K2000 VP, I've already installed the 64 MB or Ram. I was wondering if the PRAM upgrade I'm looking at now would be compatible with my Kurzweil K2000 VP? My K2000 has a 3.54 J (Janis board). I'm not too sure about the year of the instrument, ...

Anyone ever heard 80's/90's Vietnamese Synth Pop?

I did some old Vietnamese karaoke once at a friends house, then looked at some old Vietnamese songs afterwards, some have really catchy synth riffs, these are some I found: Please feel free to listen to the ones I listed. I believe the first four I listed were made with a Kurzweil K2000. What do you...

Juno 106 owners:Do you have both banks A and B loaded?

I was curious if any Juno 106 owners have both banks A and B filled with the factory patches or just one of the 2 banks? When the instrument was first bought, is it loaded with both banks of the 128 factory patches?

Thanks,
Nathan Chao

Roland Juno 106 or Yamaha DX7 IID

New to synthesizers... A person on Craigslist is selling both of the synths mentioned above, he is selling the Yamaha for $500, and the Roland for $750 (needs new battery but works fine). I thought it would be good to have a true analog synth to play alongside my other keyboards. Currently I have a ...

Re: Korg DW8000 not working, please help.

Hello HappyFunTimes, I've purchased a non working DW 8000 before thinking it could be fixed- I think I had the same issue as you. If it starts with the arpeggiator speed light lighting up followed by the rest of the lights later, it looks like a a board issue. Also if there are weird symbols and the...
