Maybe this is obvious, but keep in mind that spending 2-3000 dollars on "the best" high end audio interface is pretty pointless, unless your whole signal chain is of equally high quality.
I.e. don't plug a Behringer mixer into an Apogee interface.

You can download the demo and try that out, if you don't want to open the package.
I wasn't very impressed with it when i tried it a few years ago.
Sounded OK i guess, but personally i think a lot of freeware synths sound more exciting. But hey, what do i know...

Bidule doesn't look complex but it gives me the feeling that it would take longer to do something simple. It can take longer, but it's also more rewarding. And on the other hand, it can make things that are really complicated or impossible in other programs really simple. I wouldn't use it to repla...

You can probably achieve similar results with Scrubby and Buffer Override from

They have AU versions too, but i know nothing about how well they work since I'm not a mac user.
