Re: Why doesn't this exist, or does it?

Speck Xtramix. I own one. Absolutely the best sounding and most versatile mixer in this price range. A search on gearslutz will verify the quality and versatility. Worth ever penny, even though there are no sliders....

Re: whats happened to the new linn drum

The Linndrum II is now the Tempest. It's due out soon and as far as we can tell is due to be delivered on time. Learn to Google. Wow. A little confused as to why a moderator on a forum designed to ask questions and discuss these types of things would take such a stance? And be incorrect all at once...

Re: lowest prodution run of a major synth manufacturer

Someone is in need of defining "Major" synth manufactured. Gleeman, EMS....really?

Anyway, I think everyone can agree on Yamaha fitting the bill, and yes, they only made 100 DX7II Centennial Editions. And 1 of them is in my basement :)

Re: Blue synths?

Just send all your gear to customsynth.co.uk, and have all of them made the EXACT same color, and even similar text and styling if you wish.

Attn: V-Synth users. Help!

So I'm getting very frustrated with the vocoder. I read the manual, but even when I have the "natural voice" setting all the way down, my voice still comes through full force. Adjusting the natural voice slider makes absolutely no difference to the mix of vocoded voice and my voice. I want this to b...

Agreed. Simon and Benji are finishing a re-mastering of the new Younger Brother album as we speak. Can't wait!

Re: OSC Oscar - is it a classic and if so why?

Younger Brother used it all over their most recent album (which is awesome if you haven't heard it). Most of the main synth lines on this album are the OSCar.

Anyware Instruments Tinysizer?

From the makers of the fantastic SEM clone, the SEMTEX XL....This thing looks pretty sweet to me. Basically a small, modular SEM. Opinions?

Re: Roland SH201 killed me

So you don't think "porting over" algos from a machine built with 1996 circuitry/components would have a different sound on a machine built with 2009 circuitry/components?

Re: Roland SH201 killed me

why still calling to roland for making again real analogue??? lost your sense of reality better quality gear doesn't make you become a better artist or more creative, it helpful but no wonder, just more talk to show off probably So are you saying Jimmy Hendrix could have made the same sort of inspi...

Re: Roland SH201 killed me

People. Listen to the naysayers. Weather you think so or not, YOU LIKE THIS SYNTH. You really do! Trust them. You simply dislike the NAME and are only joining in on this "I hate the sh-201" rant because you think it will get you laid. Now PLEASE, wake up and admit it. IT SOUNDS AWESOME!

Re: Roland SH201 killed me

Are you implying that everyone (other than the original poster) is only bashing this machine because we have been hypnotized in a "pied-piper" like fashion to follow the leader? That's a pretty bizarre assumption. I can attest to having a lot of experience with this machine, since I owned one. I thi...

Re: Roland SH201 killed me

Not sure what that is supposed to mean. If Korg would have built that machine, it would not be THAT machine. And if they built it exactly the same, it would sound the same.

I completely agree. One of the worst sounding synths ever IMO.
