To that same end, I really don't get a lot of guitar collectors. Aren't you answering your own question with this line? Alot of collections are due to (hobby/love of a certain instrument/desire to maintain and restore a classic), not practicality. Many find instrument collecting a fun hobby as well...

Use all of the oscillators, and run it through a Sherman+some FX. There will be no complaints. Buying an external filter to make a synthesizer usable would make me complain 8) Well I think adding an analog filter to ANY VA is necessary to add warmth and grit. I'm gonna guess you guys never need 24 note chords, so I sure hope you're using the "stack" feature. It's the only way to get fat sounds out of the Nord. 24 stacked saw waves seem to do the trick. Better yet, use all 4 voices and stack 6 on each voice, then slightly detune them. I think most people ...

Clocking a CV LFO to tempo????

I have several effects with CV inputs and I'd like to sync filter sweeps/phases etc to a midi clock to get some tempo synced effects from the units (frostwave resonator/blue ringer, CV Modded Small Stone's etc...) I was thinking about the Kenton Pro Solo Mk II MIDI. Is there anything else you guys r...
