Re: Furniture polish for synths

Polishes are waste and will only cause build-up over time. Check with any furniture restoration place. Most will recommend a VERY lightly damp cloth to clean the wood. Then a gentle application of mineral spirits with a soft cloth. Actually I did mean mineral spirits. Test of inconspicuous area fir...

Re: Vintage-sounding effect suggestions please!

If you want, "vintage sounding" effects. Whay not get some vintage effects? VST's don;t cut it. You'll leard that in time. Phaser - EHX Small Stone Delay - +1 EHX Deluxe Memory Man, or a Roland RE-201 Space echo. I have both. Space echo is the s**t. Reverb - RE-201 Space echo has a built in spring r...

Synth owners master list for VSE?

Just an idea. I was thinking about how helpful it would be if you could find all of the VSE members who own a particular synth. A master list of sorts where a list is created and we can all check off the synths we own. Then, you can click on the name of a synth, and it will show all of the VSE membe...

Re: Factors that increase/decrease price of vintage synths

Only 2 factors influence the price of synths:

1) Supply
2) Demand

Sorry for my smart ass-ness

Re: Vocal warping/bending effect. V-Synth?

Thanks for the input. Is it easy to modulate a vocal sample on the V-Synth like this? I'm specifically referring to the part that sounds life the pitch is being modulated downward by a saw wave. Like the vocal is melting and decaying. Very cool. If you can do this with any .wav file on a V-Synth XT,...

"This little beast is a minimoog, jupiter 8, dx-7, prophet 5, 2600, and polysix rolled into one" To make this comment, I have to assume you haven't actually played any of the above synths. I have an AN1X, and I do own or have owned all of the above synths (except the 2600). They AN1X is nothing lik...

Re: Much reason to get a Little Phatty if you've got Minimoog?

The best resource for patch design is patience, experimentation, and creativity. If you can't get your Voyager to sound like the Little Phatty demos you've heard, you have none of those three things ;)
