I wish I could just get one of those simple X stands.. but I just know it would be a totally crooked mess.. This one has caught my eye.... any thoughts? http://www.zzounds.com/item--QLKQL699 just looking at it: my only reservation is lateral support- like if you're cranking down on the mod/pich are...

try this one: right here

it's inexpensive, lightweight, and once you've alligned everything take down and transport is way easy- you only have to adjust the two end pieces once, and though there are plastic parts, it's strong enough- i had my SQ80, Juno and CS15 on it- no slipping.

it can go either way IMO. some people do have a signature sound and backbone instrument- fine example is Vangelis. I don't know about most people, but I don't get tired of the beautiful tones from a CS80, especially when played by him. And i don't know if it's the same instrument- but Kraftwerk has ...

The EMS filter had 3 controls, frequency, response and level. I think "response" was their term for "resonance". Now re the AS copy, have a search in Sound on Sound. They reveiwed it a while back and I think the review is available for d/l to anyone. If not maybe PM me and I'll see if I have a pdf ...

Modular options and some advice

Hey guys- haven't been here in a while :) I'm going to invest in a modualr system, mostly doepfer modules to begin with. i've been deliberating about filters a lot in my own mind and have come down to a few choices- I'm going to have several different filters in my overall setup, the first is the Do...

If I do run into the "the peeling tracks syndrome". Can it be fixed?
150 is a great price for the SQ80, specially. go for it.

Hard Off is a large chain of second hand stores in Japan. They began as Book Off, which implied books at discount - mostly used. Then came Off House, which was the home interior stuff, and Hard Off, which is second hand hardware (hardware as in its computer useage.) There is a second hand car parts...

From what i understand the CP35 and the 25 use an old implementation of FM synthesis- a contributing factor as to why their max polyphony is only 16 voices, whereas the CP30 which is more of an 'organ' type technology, where each note has it's own tone generator... and weighs a ton

Call me thick, but what's the point of sending aftertouch via a modwheel? Surely if it's aftertouch, it's on the keys. I had a look at the manual, and AT is assignable to controllers, The PCR-x00 have keyboard channel AT. Not that amazing, then. Oh well, I suppose a new, cheap, true poly AT control...

Re: New Roland Controller

.....the new Roland/Edirol PCR 300, 500, and 800, all have channel and polyphonic aftertouch modes...... Wasn't sure if I could believe that, so I took a quick look at the midi implementation chart here: http://www.roland.com/products/en/_support/om.cfm?iCncd=504&ln=EN&SearchBy=RcId&dst=P&iRcId=000...

New Roland Controller

wow this thread is kinda old- hope someone's still watching it. Maybe most of you know this- I've been searching for a new MIDI controller with Polyphonic aftertouch, and I found one, and not too bad of a price either- the new Roland/Edirol PCR 300, 500, and 800, all have channel and polyphonic afte...
