Well, I don't even have one in my hands yet (still waiting for it to arrive) but I'd have to say an Alesis Fusion- VA, FM, AM, Sampler, hard disk, sequencer... I purchased it because I wanted an all in one synth/sampler/sequencer that could handle a variety of s**t. Well, actually, I purchased it be...

I'd third the RS7000 suggestion, but since you specifically don't want sampling capabilities, maybe the RM1x will fit the bill.

What do you do when the voices start failing? My friend bought a Juno on ebay a few months back, and sounds like the voices are dying. Unfortunately the f**k gets his wife to answer the phone, and her excuses for him not being there have gone from "he's asleep" to "he's out" to finally "he's oversea...

killedaway- i said "better drums and synth sounds than the [mc]303" not "has synths sounds which will ensure that you cannot help but produce the most mind-blowingly awesome music in the world". I didn't even say they were good, necessarily, but for a CHEAP groovebox which he intends to use largely ...

Well starting off with the easiest question, the dimensions... try google and then get a freaking tape measure. seriously. but because I'm a nice guy (read 'sucker') its about an inch longer and an inch wide than an A4 peice of paper. The 303 is the biggest peice of s**t synthesizer in the world. th...

Wireless Midi and more compact, user friendly, reliable wireless audio. Just tiny little IR or Bluetooth or whatever suckers that you plug in to whatever, with a little dial on the back to dial in one of a number of preset frequencies. This may exist. I know wireless audio exists, and I've never loo...

I overhauled my guitar about a year ago. My brother did industrial design @ university, and was always making s**t, or doing stupid c**p like pimping old, beaten up telephones to be crazy fire engine red. On such projects (and he recommended this for my guitar, which I did, with awesome results), he...

you're a champ, elmo. I gonna load em up on my an-200 when I can be assed.

And alan- yeah, should do, since it works on an an-200, which uses the PLG-150AN card.

thanks jack. awesome, yeah. I figured that was the case- muddy- definately the best word to describe the results I get with a bass through the G7.

Suh-weet. Now just gotta decide whether I need/want the pedal (the B2.1ut, rather than the standard B2).

Cheers.

I have a Zoom G7- any point in a Zoom B2? (bass effects)

I bought a Zoom G7 a year or so ago, and am really happy with it. I play bass as well, and was just wondering whether there's any point in getting the scaled down, bass version (the B2) to use with my bass? I guess the question is- are bass effects fundamentally different from guitar effects? Like, ...

I don't think the name's supposed to mean anything. While 'quasi' means literally 'not quite' or 'kind of', I think its just a play on words with quasimodo (ie, the hunchback)- since they're german, it was either that or SPUKHAFTE DAS LIEBEN SCHRIEB SYNTHEDORFFEN!

I remember they produced a few synths which didn't get a big run- one perhaps was just before they folded. I remember thinking "THAT is awesome." I can't remember the name of it tho. I had a Sirius. I sold it. I wish I'd kept it. It was a simple, fun, gritty sounding synth. An excellent notepad (eas...

I think the outputs on the AN200 sound fine (i own both an an200 and dx200). I've never questioned them. I certainly wouldn't let those comments put you off- I love my AN. sounds gnarly as f**k. However, one thing about the AN200 is the lack of certain front panel controls- various parameters can no...
