Re: Andromeda A6 vs Minimoog

I started to read this thread....because the topic was interesting. But I must say......I became dissapointed halfway through with all the flamming profanity and provocation. Both synths are good - one has earned a reputation over 35 years and has an undeniably good tone - the other is a modern synt...

PSB's is a good example....

There are waaayyyy too many tracks to list - suffice to say that alot of 80's films used it also. Check out the atmoshperic closing scene of Oliver Stones 'Wall Street' (1987).

Re: I just bought a NL2x. I'm sooooo disappointed...

Jexus - thanks for posting your video....if anyone can make a s**t synth sound good/interesting....its you. All your observations about the NL2x are correct. It was also a big dissapointment for me - c**p build quality, nasty keybed, really sterile/boring sounding oscilators and the worst digital fi...

Howard Jones 'What is Love' (1983) http://www.youtube.com/watch?fmt=18&gl=US&v=QE61Bz7IHKg Incidently, this was one of the first commercialy released tracks to use the DX7. You can hear the tubuar bell patch....along with the FM bass preset. Nice Jupiter 8 stabby chords and Juno 60 dark pad. Check o...

Access Virus TI 2 - pricing clarification needed...

I bought the TI for £1395 from Turnkey 2 weeks before they went bust.

The TI then went up to £1620 at Digital Village.....

The new TI 2 costs........ £2300

Please somebody.....tell me this is a joke. I was going to buy one....but this price is extreme.

Moog might be considering a new polysynth...

Moog are in talks with some big named artists about the possibility of a new polysynth.

Apparently they are already looking into the spec, layout and design.

Cheers
