I might consider that as well, but space in my room is very limited and I don't have a three-tiered stand.

So what do people think about the CS-15D and the Delta?

Re: Recapping a Jupiter-4

Just curious, do you work on high-end audio gear as well? I do. I don't actually, this is the first time I've done major work on any of my synths (save for the Juno which needed a voice chip fixed). My main hobby is collecting old video games and I do a fair amount of modding and repairs on old gam...

Re: Recapping a Jupiter-4

Ordering from Mouser? If so, you know you could share shopping cart projects with others too. Its awesome I did actually, it was the only place where I could get audio grade caps for cheap. If anyone wants to do a group buy in the future I'd certainly be open to it. I've also pieced together a Mous...

Re: Recapping a Jupiter-4

Very nice you took the time to post this..good luck.. :D Thanks, I'll be using Nichicon audio grade caps as I didn't want to cheapen out by using the caps I normally use for fixing old game consoles. With any luck the new caps should last much longer than the originals have. I noticed one of the 4....

Recapping a Jupiter-4

I'm about to start recapping my JP-4 soon and I figured I'd share a mostly complete list of the caps in case anyone else is interested in doing the same. This is for a Jupiter-4 manufactured around April 1980 so yours might be slightly different. Power Supply 3x 4.7 uF 25V 2x 3300 uF 35V 1x 2200 uF ...

Thinking about trading my Juno 106

I've been spending some more time with my synths lately, and I've found that I play my Jupiter-4 way more often than my Juno. Don't get me wrong, I still think the Juno is a nice synth, but lately I've been wanting an older piece of kit to replace the Juno, especially a 2-osc monosynth. So far my ch...

Well, I don't plan on actually doing it, just wondering if it's possible. Besides, I don't plan on selling my Jupiter-4 anytime soon so that wouldn't matter. :D

Jupiter-4 with aluminum sides?

Is it possible to replace the particle board end cheeks on a Jupiter-4 with aluminum ones? I think the JP-4 would look awesome with aluminum sides, just like the Jupiter-6/8.

Nope, the $150 is about what it's worth now.

Re: Fair Price for Jupiter-4?

Looking at that eBay auction makes me glad I got my JP-4 for $250. The Jupiter-4 is a really awesome synth; I'd never sell mine.

Re: repair success stories

I was tuning my Jupiter-4 today, and then after I took a break and went back to it, the keys started spouting random notes. In addition to that, there was also this weird sustaining low tone that kept sliding down in pitch. I was about ready to send it to the tech when I noticed that the cable going...

Korg 01/WFD value

How much do 01/WFDs usually go for? I'm getting one in excellent condition (as part of a trade) with a gig bag, power supply, manual and a floppy with the original sounds. Since I don't like digital workstations, I'm planning on reselling this. How much would I get for all this? I'm thinking maybe $...

Fair trade for a JX-10?

I've decided to trade off my JX-10 after owning it for almost 5 years, and I'm curious as to what synth I could get in a trade for it. Now, it works fine but it's kinda in rough shape, meaning that it's got a few scratches and one of the end cheeks is a bit loose (still holds together though). The b...

Jupiter-4 tuning knob

I was going to replace the tuning knob in my Jupiter-4 but I seem to have lost the original one plus the leads. Does anyone have a replacement tuning knob?
