This is both live and studio.

Are we talking about the 12" version, or the single version that was played on the radio?

What synths were used on this 1986 hit?

There seems to be a nice metallic sound running through the verses.

David Paich also used a KX-88 on their 1990 tour.

Upon further listening, it sounds like a mix between Domenic Miller's nylon string guitar and the Roland D-50 possibly because I hear a plucking sound in the riff.

Yes I think the D-50 is prominent in the melody line too, but most likely layered with another synth. I have wondered about this before but have yet to find or make any patch exactly like that. It says in the booklet that Phil did all keyboards himself on this track. Maybe someone could ask him abo...

Does anybody know what synths and drum machines were used on Phil Collins' But Seriously album? Specifically "Another Day In Paradise", and Something Happened on the Way To Heaven.
