Yamaha W5/7 DSP effect processor?
So,I played( by chance) this keyboard today, and I was blown away by the quality of its internal effect processor. Is there any Yamaha rack equivalent?
Also, I have to say, the synth itself sounds amazingly convincing. What was the predecessor and successor of this workstation?

Re: Polivoks Reissue
After the first batch of 100, I heard they're gonna be $2400. Saw a video of Vladimir Kuzmin playing one. If I didn't already have my original I could well be interested in one. Yet another reissue of a "classic", i.e. a synth that noone outside of the USSR actually used until they showed up in tra...

Re: DX7 Cartridge. Where is the battery???
Do other cards work as expected? You 'd better confirm that the switches are working right, dirty switches can make intermittent contact. You can try cleaning them with a few drops of rubbing alcohol or contacts spray. Other than that I cant think of any other failure except the eproms. Maybe it co...

So, now it's not working. Patches are storing with mistakes and strange names, and sounding weird. Any chance to fix it?rhino wrote:None. memory chips are EEPROM's. Save the data without external power. Slower than static RAM, but plenty fast enough for synth patch data. Same basic carts used by Ensoniq.
