I was told by the shop that had it that the motherboard needed to be replaced. No specifics other than that. Didn;t know that only part of it could go bad.

When using cross mod and sync together, it's possible to get the pitch tracking to invert itself on a Jupiter-8. Sick s**t. I got all kinds of verklempt kitty noises that way.

I had one for 6 years...used on nearly every track. It's that useful. Had the Angel City upgrade and the MEX-8000. Not very deep at all synthesis wise, but a porterhouse and baked potato aren't haute cuisine, either. Doesn't stop 'em from being absolutely delicious.
