Re: Velocity Sensitive Polysix

That's great! Thanks for sharing. Velocity aside, I wish I could replace microKorg's old hard but gammy c**p minikeys with these day's much-more-comfortable-new-generation-minikeys :D

I'm watching this thread with interest even though I'm happy enough with current state of mine ;)

Re: Question about Waldorf Blofeld

I wish Blofeld's knobs normally act as macro knobs like of microKorg. The synth can do so crazy complex modulation in real time then!

Re: Korgtech - Vintage Synth Repair branch for Korg?

I don't know where you got $800 figure but in 2010, I was told inspection would cost about $180, and if repair happens it would add repair fee, and in such case it would be minimum $270 or so (for the case of MS20). And I didn't pay anything myself but to send my machine to them once (they kindly co...

Re: Korgtech - Vintage Synth Repair branch for Korg?

My story is kinda long, if you don't mind (and my poor English) ;) I bought my MS20 from a retailer. When it's arrived at home I checked things found EG1 rev out was not working, so complained to the shop and sent the machine to them. They told me sorry and sent it to KorgTech (korutekku in Japanese...

Re: Korgtech - Vintage Synth Repair branch for Korg?

I've had my MS20 serviced by them. Heard people who doing the repair were former Korg's engineers but that was almost 4 years ago so I'm not sure now. I'm not sure if you can contact them in English language..

Re: Korg Might Be Up To Something.

Have any of you actually PLAYED an original MS-20? I've owned three. The knobs were s**t... they offered no resistance whatsoever, and felt like the crappiest things ever compared to their contemporaries. Yes, Mini knobs feel like they could tolerate less abuse, but at least they offer resistance. ...

Re: MS-20 legato

On an MS20, you can cheat the keyboard behavior by putting something on that is about 1cm thick between the keys and the case  I'm not sure if mini has enough space to put something and works the same. Kinda related tho, I wish I could completely decouple EG2 from VCA (if inserting EG1 out ...

I'm already very disappointed... by the looks of the thing. except it makes drastically unique or new sound, which I think is very unlikely..

Re: Would you buy a CS80 if re-released?

Here are some sounds the CS-80 are capable of. I recorded this all testing the functions of a CS-80 that I had just finished restoring a few years ago. http://www.heathfinnie.com/Media/bartesho1.mp3 Sounds SO great, thanks for sharing. Is it overdubbed? I hear the 'dirtiness' which covers over the ...

Re: anyone else like wurly/rhodes/clavinet/organ here?

can't afford real ones (space/money), compromise to Korg SV-1. I basically like the sound and keybed (tremolo is meh tho).
