SP-404SX & Sampler Suggestions!

I currently use an old SP-202 to trigger ambient loops, field recordings, and various samples, largely toward texture over rhythm. I rarely use it for drum or percussive samples. For all it's quirky limitations, I enjoy the 202 and find it a useful addition to my setup. I am interested in something ...

Re: Identifying ARP Odyssey Filters & Foot Pedal Questions

Amazing list, Micke. Thanks for the info everyone. I meant to link to this in the OP. This is why I was confused about the 2810 and the 4035, this list seems to indicate that the 2810 was later made with the 4075 & the PPC. Repasting below: 1972 - 1974 Model: 2800 Face panel: White with black legend...

Identifying ARP Odyssey Filters

Does anyone know of a list that identifies Odyssey filters & boards by model number & serial number? I found this but it leaves some gray areas. Specifically, I'm looking at the 2810. It appears that the 2810 was made w/ both the 4035 and the 4075. Anyone have an idea of the serial numbers that have...

ARP Odyssey & Ohio Synth Techs

Hey I'm looking for someone in the Northeast Ohio area (or relatively near, Pittsburgh or Columbus) who is able to repair and service an ARP Odyssey Mk II. The keyboard works but every note played sustains indefinitely regardless of patch. This problem began after messing with the S&H. Thanks guys!

Re: Help... Hum! Ground loop?

First be sure everything, mixer computer and all, is plugged into one set of power strips that all end up at one outlet. The current draw of all of it will still be less than any appliance with a motor, so you don't have to worry about overloading at the circuit breaker or anything. If the source o...

Thanks Stab! Looking into a few of the "hum eliminators", going to get one to just run one between my mixer and my soundcard but... In figuring out that some of my gear (not just K) picks up ground loops I've realized my downstairs home theatre setup had been plagued by this. Can't believe I never k...

1/4 Hum with K-Station -UPDATE: Ground Loops!!!

I got a K-Station a few months ago which has been progressively giving me more and more problems. Anyway the latest is that it seems to be transmitting an annoying hum when running into my sound card. As long as the KS is hooked up to the power supply it is transmitting this hum, it does not have to...

Digital Synth Repair... Where Can I Send It???

I have a K-Station that needs some work, I was going to replace the pots myself but the distributor that Novation uses in the US are taking FOREVER to get back to me... Anyone have any recommendations on where or who I could send it to for repair? I'm additionally a bit afraid to do my own soldering...

Can I ask where you sourced them from? I have no idea where to start..

How low is as low as possible? Obviously if you want to be able to hear the improvement it'll cost a bit, trying to save money is what got you that setup in the first place. ;) :P Actually right on mark, I scored my interface off a buddy for free when he was getting rid of it, likewise with the mix...

We've actually got a few C64's down in the workshop and the Prophet64 and Cynthcart carts. Don't have a decent monitor to run them on so have to hook them to TV and look like shite. I'll have to actually dive into the programming on the Prophet64, I messed around with it a bit when my buddy got it.....
