Re: How would you 'measure' Keytracking?
Filter keytracking is quite simple to understand. When set to 100%, if you play two notes an octave apart, the filter will open up one octave. The result is the harmonics present in the filtered output are the same for any note played. The reason the Moog/MS20 pair didn't work is that Moog uses V/o...

Re: How would you 'measure' Keytracking?
Usually 1 volt per octave, but you can change it to whatever slope you want. Some synths (like my JD-800) allow a negative slope where the lower keys have a greater filter cuf-off and higher keys have lower cut-off. right but i think it might be like 0-1 volt but how does that volt interact/sum wit...

How would you 'measure' Keytracking?
So how would you measure 'keytracking'? As a change in slope? Been trying to wrap my head around this, anyone got a graphic for me or something? On my Rolands it makes the upper keys audible while darkening the lower ones... This is the part that baffles me. Also was trying to 'simulate' Keytracking...

its all preference and it depends wether you wanna use the FX as an insert and get it over with, or use as a return and blend and mix forever... i started on guitars so pedal collection is the original source of my G.A.S. but now a days my first question for a pedal is 'is it stereo?' and besides th...

Roland D110 Noise Floor
Been craving D50 sounds lately but dont have the budget so I did the next best thing and replaced the battery on my junker D110 that needed changing when I bought it 5 years ago. But I plug it in to find that it has a hideous noisefloor. HIDEOUS. like -60 to -50 db and the choir patch comes in at -2...

Re: Maschine Studio Coming Soon
I was kind of annoyed when I saw the update coming up and that it would cost $100; I just bought Maschine a couple months ago....feels like a bit of a dig. Kind of like the $70+ 'stand'. Are they raising the price for normal Maschine w/update or are new buyers basically getting the upgrade for free...

Re: New analog boxes from Korg?
Highly recommended. Korg are in a great position to release a 6 or 8 voice polyphonic synth (module or keyboard) after this. It could be a simple architecture, knob per function kind of thing. I'd buy it in a heartbeat even if it only sounded as good as this yoke. Some nice full size knobs would be...
