2 years later and I thought I'd try this again. Still no luck. I'm able to receive a bank or patch into midiox, but unable to send it to the esq-1. When sending a bank I get a soft reset - system error 01 message, and sending a patch doesn't seem to do anything. I'm using a generic usb -> midi cable...

It's weird to me that there isn't (wasn't?) a consensus on the basics of a nice keybed. I guess they were still figuring things out in the 80's.
