Re: MFB-522 Drum Machine - Any Preset Rhythms?
Sounds like someone has taken it for a spin. Perhaps manfred himself? ;) It may have been updated, however in the manual I think there was a mistake in the instructions for chaining patterns. Can't remember exactly what it was, but the order of buttons presses wasn't correct. Confused me for a bit.

Re: MFB-522 Drum Machine - Any Preset Rhythms?
I don't think it has presets. I ordered mine directly from MFB and can't remember it having any. "offers 72 rhythms, each with corresponding fill-ins." just means there's 72 programmable locations, each with a fill-in.
You wouldn't want the presets anyway.

Feel like I'm picking on him, however, same seller:
D-50 - not a mothership, but still a hefty price: $1350
No idea what an S3 usually goes for, assuming this is high though:

Quite vexing. I feel like I'm missing something here.Conspiravision wrote:

Yes, but you're probably an expert on guitars, broken amps and accordians now though.intrancewetrust wrote:after about a *year* of scanning gumtree *daily* (no joke) i found a prophet 600.

Re: Australian Music Gear Prices (Revisited..)
Yeah, it depends a bit on what it is, but generally used gear in the US is considerably cheaper. I would agree that it's largely a matter of scarcity. Even so it seems like you regularly see things that belong in the 'ridiculous ebay starting bid' thread that leads me to believe some people are just...

Re: cheap midi sequencer
I think the q80ex has two midi ports. Although it's not a deal breaker as I have a midi patch-bay, but at any rate I'll probably have to not cheap out on this and get something more featured. Something like an mc-80 would probably suit me well as really don't need the sampling functions of an mpc. C...
Re: loud psu
It seems to be mounted fairly well, I think I'll just look for a replacement. In any case, I'll probably have an electrician check the house grounding etc. as I seem to have had lot of problems of buzz, hum etc. in the past.

cheap midi sequencer
Looking for (if it exists) a cheap, compact sequencer that can do the following: -6+ tracks of real and step time recording that can be muted real-time -basic quantization and edit functions - at least two midi outs -ability to loop and be synced to external midi clock - ability run to loop two trac...

Re: an1x questions
Yeah that sounds like what he was talking about. Haven't encountered yet, maybe I'll try. Do you know if the fix was a software or hardware one? Are there different OS versions for the an1x for that matter? @highestree, I think I've mostly understood the scenes and morphing etc., however I'm sure I'...
loud psu
I have a six-trak with quite a loud buzz from the power supply. It's not frightening loud, as if it might explode, but loud enough to be able to hear it anywhere in the room, and that a mic pics it up. My questions for those with technical know-how on such issues: Is this a sign of maintenance or fa...

Re: an1x questions
Yes it is strange. I'll have to ask for clarification. As far as the loose knobs go, its just a loose hex nut which you can see if you remove the plastic knobs. It's cruel because you can see it, but you can't get to it without going through all sorts of h**l.

Re: an1x questions
He said if you have both buttons (1+2) under the volume pressed, and then you did something else, it would sound like it 'was going to explode', but you just needed to restart. He assured me it was ubiquitous and well documented so I figured I would just look it up when I got home and didn't press h...

an1x questions
Hi, Just picked up an an1x. They seller mentioned that there was some issue with pressing Two leftmost buttons (ctrl) and the an1x crashing, and that the problem was common to all an1x's. I really had no idea what he was talking about at the time, and haven't been able to find any mention of it. Doe...

Yes, but does it have D-beam? That's all I want to know.
