Re: Korg Microkorg Vs Korg Microkorg S

I can't believe they didn't add a USB interface to the S since it costs an extra $100.

Re: Help needed for first synth

I don't think the micoKorg can transpose the arpeggiator, even though Ranzee states that it can. Notice that he is pressing only one key, not a chord before he "transposes". Go to 6:55...he latches one note then plays a couple of other notes and claims it's transposing. It's not. Any arpeggiator wil...

According to p.175 of the manual, FAT-32 is not supported.

Re: And If i bought a D-10 for the 50eur ?.

The D-10 uses a simplified version of the D-50 engine, like the MT-32. So it sounds similar but thinner due to cost cutting including lower fidelity D/A converters. It does allow patrches with 1, 2, 3 or 4 partials while the D-50 patches use either 2 or 4. That's how Roland claimed 32 voice polyphon...

Re: Anybody have a Micro x ?.

It's the same synth as the 61-key X50, shrunk down for portability. It is very well suited to ambient soundscapes due to the onboard effects and the ability to layer sounds (Korg calls that Combinations). It has plenty of sounds suitable for trance and techno up to the time it was introduced (2007)....

Re: K2000 output fail. Any help?

My first suspicion would be the cabling from the keyboard.

If you have another MIDI instrument, does it recognize all the keys or not?

Re: Yamaha QY70 owners: How do I silence a single MIDI out channel?

Unlike most Yamaha sequencers (EX5, Motif, Montage, etc.) it doesn't appear to have an internal/external switch on each channel of the mixer. Try the Mute button for that track, also the volume fader. Either (or both) may also mute the MIDI out. In the video he is muting and soloing tracks. Watch th...

Re: Sounds made easy : SR-JV80-04 and 08

They appear to be MIDI files, so load them into a sequencer and play them into the XV3080. The sysex is buried in the sequence. It's a common way to load patches without requiring the user to figure out how to send sysex files.

Re: Access Virus Ti Firmware Dump Procedure

If you just need the firmware itself, you don't need to dump it, you can go to the Access website and download most of the OS versions. There are people at github who have started a project to reverse engineer the firmware. You might want to take a look at that.

Do you want to load new/different firmware or are you really trying to dump the currently loaded firmware?
